Judging by his Twitter account, Von Miller is just likes us — a big Denver Broncos fan. He just happens to play for the team.
Miller wrote a number of tweets Wednesday evening proclaiming his desire for the Broncos to sign free agent pass rusher Mario Williams and quarterback Peyton Manning. Saying “Super Bowls are priceless”, he even offered to “play for free.”
How scary would that be if we got Mario Williams? Lebron, dwade, and bosh did it..
I would take a huge pay cut to get Mario Williams and Peyton Manning! I just want to win!!!
Mario and Manning = I will play this season for free, super bowls are priceless!!!

The Kansas City Chiefs fortified their running attack today, even with the return of Jamaal Charles still looming.
Former Denver Broncos fullback and running back Peyton Hillis has signed with the Kansas City Chiefs, the Chiefs announced today. It is reportedly a one-year deal for Hillis, who played his last two seasons with the Cleveland Browns.
Two fan favorites potentially landing elsewhere in the AFC West in one night? This is the ugly side to NFL free agency.

Wide receiver Eddie Royal did NOT sign with the Washington Redskins as we reported on Tuesday and is still making the free agent rounds. In fact, he’ll be taking a trip to the Broncos’ AFC West rival San Diego Chargers.
Naturally we decided to dig up pictorial evidence of Royal’s notable Charger-killing history. No wonder San Diego is interested. Don’t do it Eddie!!
UPDATE: ESPN reports that Soliai has indeed signed with the Dolphins.
The biggest-named free agent reportedly on Denver‘s radar — well, other than that one — may not even make it to Dove Valley.
Nose tackle Paul Soliai is close to signing a contract with the Miami Dolphins, according to multiple reports that broke late Wednesday afternoon. Soliai (6-4, 355), who earned his first Pro Bowl with the Dolphins last season, was scheduled to visit with the Broncos Thursday.
If Soliai signs Miami’s dotted line, re-signing Brodrick Bunkley becomes all the more imperative for Denver. But two top-tier defensive tackles are better than one. Hopefully the Broncos can sway the 355-pounder to at least visit Mile High Country before he comes to terms with his former team.
Having already met with free agent safety Brandon Meriweather, the Denver Broncos will now host another safety. The team is going to have Cleveland Browns defensive back Mike Adams in for a visit, per Adams.
Safety has been an area of need for Denver and the team is looking to sign at least one defensive back during the free agency signing period, despite drafting two rookie safeties last April. Adams is an eighth-year veteran who has spent his entire career with the Browns.
Last season in Cleveland, Adams started in all sixteen games and recorded 64 tackles, a forced fumble and three interceptions. With 398 career tackles, Adams would add depth and experience to Denver’s secondary as a sure-tackler.
Adams, 30, measures up and weighs in at 5-11, 200 pounds and played collegiate football at Delaware.

The waiting game may finally end this evening.
According to NFL Network, free agent quarterback Peyton Manning may sign with a team — whichever team that may be — by this evening, per KMGH‘s Arran Andersen. The network is also reporting that Manning’s decision is holding up Mario Williams from joining the Broncos, per SFS-S‘s Omar Kelly.
Whether those two reports are true or not remains to be seen, but BT did learn a week ago that the Broncos would pursue both Manning and Williams. Per reports, Manning is visiting the Titans today and Williams has met with the Bills, so it appears that Denver’s chances of landing both players (if either) are slim.
If Manning does sign with Denver, former Broncos quarterback Frank Tripucka would be willing to let his #18 jersey come out of retirement. “It’s been retired for 50 years,” Tripucka told The Denver Post. “That’s long enough.”
Like the rest of the NFL, we’re all waiting on Peyton now.
Kyle Orton is now out of the AFC West, and out of the AFC altogether, reports Adam Schefter.
The man who began the last three seasons as “Denver Broncos starting QB” lands in Dallas. Best of luck, Kyle.
It looks like defensive tackle Brodrick Bunkley may not be returning to Denver this season, as the Broncos are reportedly close to signing free agent Paul Soliai, who was viewed as a back-up plan if the team was unable to re-sign Bunkley. Per Yahoo‘s Jason Cole, Soliai is debating a between a five and two-year deal with Denver.
Scheduled to visit with the Broncos today, Soliai is a 6-4, 355 pound five-year veteran. Since 2009, Soliai has recorded 91 tackles, 2.0 sacks and one forced fumble with Miami.
In other free agency news, the Detroit Lions have given wide receiver Calvin Johnson to a seven-year, $132 million deal and the Titans are scheduled to visit with quarterback Peyton Manning sometime today.
UPDATE: All of the spots are filled! If you are participating, you will receive an email from me soon!
The draft is 43 days away, and here at Bronco Talk we need you to help us in our first ever interactive mock draft!
The Rules
You are the GM. There are currently 29 teams in the first round. You will assume control of a franchise and you will elegantly and ardently, elucidate your selection for your respective team. The article should ideally be 200-300 words in length, but if you want to write more, you are welcome to.
This means that if you get assigned the Cleveland Browns, you will have two articles to write. One article for pick 4, and another article for pick 22.
To Enter
All you have to do is email me your top four teams you would like to select for, your pen name, a contact email for the other participants, and a couple sentences about you (where you’re from, who you are, and etc) and why you want to participate.
Send your emails to – east@broncotalk.net.  Just to be clear, draft picks will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. If someone beats you to your top team, I will go down your list and assign you the next available franchise.
The Twist
Oh, and here’s the twist. All participants will receive a list of contact emails of the other participants. Why? Trades are in effect for this interactive mock draft. If you want to select higher, or even lower at that, you need to email the reader assigned at that spot and work out a deal. However, this is completely optional, don’t let this twist keep you from signing up.

With all the speculation as to where free agent quarterback Peyton Manning should — and will — sign going on, ESPN.com‘s Rick Reilly decided to create an unbiased, objective system to break which team is the best fit for Manning. The four teams in the running are the Broncos, Titans, Cardinals and Dolphins.
Using the time-honored plus/minus system, going from minus-5 to plus-5, Reilly made the following conclusions:
Divisions:
Denver plays in a division that could be taken by a team of girl scouts armed with Pez dispensers. The Broncos won it last year with a guy who tossed more dirtballs than a Hooters bouncer.
Final division rankings: Denver +5, Tennessee and Arizona 0, Miami -5. Click here to read the rest of this entry »
