They can cut Simms today as far I'm concerned. That was a horrible performance and the defense stunk it up good too. Living in chargerland is a nightmare come true today! The only bright side to all of this... I can't see anymore of a QB controversy concerning Orton for the rest of the season.

We love the Broncos but Orton has not demonstrated that he has the long ball and if my Broncos can not go long I don't think they get past the first couple of rounds in the playoffs. I was a Bronco fan during the days of the Orange Crush and I hope I am wrong about this.......?!?

Gary......did you not watch the game yesterday? Two long balls to Marshall for TD's and one to Royal that would've been a third score if it wouldn't have been a bit overthrown. The Refs were terrible. They blew several calls and they missed that fumble. The Special teams needs to be addressed.

I DVR'd the game and even bigger was the lack of calls from the Ref's. Ever since the end of last season they are afraid to throw a flag if it will help the Bronco's in any way. There were 13 totally blown calls that would have gone the Bronco's way today 7 would have extended drives.

Nice job Ref's, I guess in the Bronc's case NFL stands for No Flag League.

oh boy. another loss. well we can lay this one at McDaniels feet. and let me explain why. our running game was making progress when McDaniels decided to go deep with a QB who hasnt played all year. the Redskins made the adjustments to the deep ball and McDaniels didnt adjust back to the short passing game he loves so much. its obvious McDaniels will ride his gameplan to the death without making any sort of adjustment. yes granted Simms was atrocious but MCDaniels should have NEVER decided to call deep passes with Simms at the helm. Simms is rusty and the short game would have been the best route.

the defense seemed to lack intensity today and this is further reinforced by the fact that we got beat on the ground without them having Clinton Portis. and Jason Campbell is about as bad as Jemarcus Russell and today he was made to look like a Pro-Bowler.

You are so perceptive Kerry. You throw a b!%# fit all year because we don't throw deep. You throw a fit about how bad of a rb Moreno is, I believe your exact words were "He's just like Reggie Bush". You throw a fit about how Orton can't throw deep and when you get proved once again that everything you say is wrong instead of man'ing up about it you say it's McD's fault because he called a play for a deep ball with a rusty qb.

For someone who won't shut the F&*% up about how Orton's first int was a "real int" you sure are the most two faced Bronco fan I have ever known. Simms did have check downs available and could have ran for 5 - 10 yards on that play as well. But I am sure the play call said he should throw it into double coverage no matter what. I'm sure the 10 short throws he made that were off the mark were McD's fault too.

Just admit you don't know what you're talking about for once. Moreno can run. Orton is better than you give him credit for. McD had a good gameplan that failed because we had to play the QB you thought was so much better when people like Kyle who watched him throughout camp repeatedly told us this was exactly what Simms would do. Overthrow, underthrow and try to force plays.

BTW going 17 for 26 for 193 yards on short throws and screen passes hardly makes Jason Campbell an all pro. They sure as hell didn't mean that for Orton when he put up those numbers on those throws right?

ok first kerry i think mcdaniels is a good coach considering the fact that he's taken an extremely young team in his first year of coaching to 6-3, i didn't get a chance to see the game but if you're pounding the ball on the ground it makes perfect sense to throw a couple deep balls

yes that is true. im not saying the INT was MCDaniels fault because Simms s the one who threw it. im saying MCDaniels playcalling was bad to call a deep pass in that situation. 17-17 and our running game is gaining momentum and he decides to call a deep pass with a Rusty QB. doesnt make sense to do such a thing when the running game is working. situational playcalling is something McDaniels seriously lacks. and especially with Hillis on the bench, why not get fresh legs in there?? the deep pass wasnt neccesary in that situation ESPECIALLY with a QB who hasnt played since preseason.

All Simms has to do is not throw the ball. It was a play fake on 1st down where the hope was to have Marshall running wide open like he had been on 2 other plays. He was not supposed to make that throw into double coverage he was supposed to check down. It was a great call considering we had 2 more downs to make something happen. It was a very poor decision by Simms.

The other receiver on that rollout had decent separation, Simms should not have thrown the ball there. Marshall had both guys beat, but no qb has the arm strength to get it in there before the safety closed. Bad read by Simms, either throw the ball 3-5 seconds earlier or take your check down or run it, there was nothing but green ahead of him.

That true. But look at it like this. realistically Bradstater has been more active as a QB than Simms. Seeing that he just came out of college. I would question McD choice to throw Simms in the game. The guy arm is reckless and the pressure clock in his head is broken.

yeah im not so sure who would have been better in that situation between Simms or Brandstater. i think if we were up by about 17-20 McD might have given Tommy B a look but perhaps MCD thought Simms gave us the best chance to win. either way the job didnt get done. the lack of being able to adjust the offensive gameplan is something McD needs to work on.

injuries, and poor execution. We like to run the Tampa 2 and Cover 2 Zone a lot and the problem with that is that it's really really effective...if it's executed correctly...and really ineffective if it's not. Today we saw the ladder of the two.

No. That's just not smart. Let's take away ANY potential we have and give the ball to a rookie. Did you watch any of the first half? Kyle Orton played just fine.

Are you kidding me? Like I've said many time before this was a huge TRAP game for the broncos. Early, east coast, against a 2-6 team... The broncos ALWAYS lose those games. Secondly, If Orton doesn't get hurt we win. And yes he looked just FINE. I didn't say, nor did I imply that he was of a good caliber or anything of the sort. Marshall was wide open on the first one due to blown coverage and, yes, it was under thrown... The second one Brandon made an amazing move to get that open and they connected again. But don't bring the attitude to the table of....throw the deep ball....throw the deep ball....then cut their legs out from under them we the do. And who ever said that Kyle Orton could even throw that far?

Lastly, yes! this football team has tons of potential. The offense put up 17 points for the first time in 3 weeks and with the exception of the ST shanagains that Jim Mora pulled, we were in control of the game. I don't, and will not, believe that Branstrater is the answer. He's HIGHLY inexperienced and you've only watched him play against a 2nd and 3rd string Defense. In the pre-season i might add. Your just like everybody else. Drunk on winning, then calling for heads once the buzz is gone.

I'm sorry if you are to...blind, as you put it... to see that we can still be a 10-6 team. If you honestly believe that we are going to lose the next 7 games then you are truly as naive as i think you are and I hope I get the opportunity to laugh at you when you are wrong. Weel let me be the first to jump off the bandwagon. This team has gone from exciting to awful in three weeks. All you have to do is mnahandle them and the defense falls apart. Now that Simms is playing you all will be screaming for Orton to get healthy as Simms is awful. I saw him at camp and my grandmother is more accurate. The O and D lines are getting manhandled with regularity and now the defense can'T tackle. The NFL has figured them out and it looks to me like McD hasn't figured out how to change things up. They are in trouble big time.

Take a deep look at just how the defense has really been doing through the first 6 games....I don't know about you, but I believe Nolan brought a good thing to the table, but now teams have "tape" and have figured it out. I havee always scoffed at the idea of Champ being a GREAT cover corner...Look at even 3 years back when every decent WR in the league got a half-step behind "Champ"...He got toasted. SURE he makes some GREAT plays, but notice they always happen IN FRONT of him! AND often times when he has help!
