For the past few hours, Tim Tebow has been a man without a team.

The Denver Broncos reportedly traded Tebow to the New York Jets, but the deal hit a snag. Now the Jacksonville Jaguars are back in the mix, even as the Broncos try to uphold the terms of the existing deal, reports ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

This is insane. It’s difficult to wrap my mind around any of this. Teblooiemanningbbqsauceface.

Things could get ugly soon between the New York Jets and the Denver Broncos. A clause in Tim Tebow‘s contract requiring a trade partner to compensate the Broncos over $5 million in paid salaries and bonuses has caused the initially reported deal to hit a snag, but the Broncos are prepared to argue that the deal should stand anyway, NFL.com’s Jeff Darlington reports.

It’s a lesson you think an NFL General Manager would know well by now, but always read the fine print.

Adam Schefter is reporting that the Denver Broncos trade of Tim Tebow to the New York Jets could be nullified based on language within Tebow’s contract. The St. Louis Rams could become interested in acquiring Tebow if that happens, Schefter reports.

Brodrick Bunkley was perhaps the largest factor in the Denver Broncos‘ 2011 defensive turnaround, literally and figuratively.

He won’t be a Denver Bronco in 2012.

The freshly-suspended New Orleans Saints have signed Bunkley to a five-year deal worth $25 million, according to multiple reports.

The Broncos will have to add DT depth in the draft and free agency, as well as relying on Ty Warren to be healthy this year. Bunkley’s departure leaves the Broncos with a massive hole to fill.

In a classy move, Brian Dawkins took to Twitter to thank Tim Tebow for his efforts in 2011 with the Denver Broncos. Tebow was traded to the New York Jets for draft picks this morning.

(translating from Twitter-speak): “Tim Tebow, I want to thank you for what you helped us do last year. On the field and off! I have NO doubt that you will be a blessing for the Jets!”

We echo Dawkins’ sentiments and will have more on this trade to come.

UPDATE: The deal hit a snag, but after a wild eight hours, has been finalized. Tim Tebow is indeed a New York Jet.

Tim Tebow is no longer a Denver Bronco.

The Denver Broncos have traded third-year quarterback Tim Tebow to the New York Jets following the Broncos’ signing of Peyton Manning this week. The Jets traded fourth and sixth round draft picks to the Broncos in exchange for Tebow and a seventh round draft pick.

In 2010, former Head Coach Josh McDaniels traded a 2nd, 3rd and 4th round pick to the Baltimore Ravens to move up and draft Tebow, today the team got 4th and 6th round picks in exchange for the polarizing quarterback.  The Jets, who recently extended quarterback Mark Sanchez‘s contract, better know what they are in for by acquiring not only Tebow, but Tebowmania, also.

Here we are, the fist selection of the 2012 Interactive Mock Draft. From day one I was interested to see how the trade twist would impact this experiment.

I am now learning that this mock is going about as twisted as they come. Be sure to check in everyday to see how ridiculous this thing is going to get.

Hey, I never said this thing was going to be realistic.

Here we go…

Our first GM to pick is DenverWonder.

With the first pick of the 2012 Interactive Mock Draft, the Miami Dolphins select…

We interrupt our regularly scheduled Peyton Manning is a Denver Bronco Tuesday afternoon to remind fans that the Broncos are still making moves in free agency.  The team will bring in at least two players over the next two days for visits, according to reports.

Former Indianapolis Colts center Jeff Saturday is going to visit the team today and former New Orleans Saints cornerback Tracy Porter is going to visit the team on Wednesday.  Both players own Super Bowl rings and have connections to Manning.

Saturday, 36, has been Manning’s center in Indianapolis since the 2000 season and would bring veteran experience to Denver’s offensive line.  Porter, 25, was the player that intercepted Manning during Super Bowl XLIV, which led to a Saints victory.

Last season in New Orleans, Porter started in eleven games and recorded 52 tackles, an interception and forced two fumbles.  If he signed in Denver, he would presumably start across from Champ Bailey in Denver’s secondary this season.

Both players would bring experience to the team.  Would you be in favor of signing them?

When the Denver Broncos announced the signing of Peyton Manning during a press conference on Tuesday, there were many headline-grabbing quotes (more of them to come later).  Among those quotes were John Elway‘s comments on Tim Tebow and the possibility of him being traded.

When asked about the situation, an emotional Elway said that the hardest part of the game is devolving personal relationships — like he has with Tebow — and then having to make business decisions.  Reiterating that he has a great deal of respect for Tim Tebow — noting that Tebow is the kind of guy he would want his daughter to marry — Elway could not deny that the team may trade the third-year quarterback.

“It is a possibility,” Elway said, “and he (Tebow) knows that’s a possibility.”  Elway said that he and Head Coach John Fox called Tebow last night.  Not surprisingly, Tebow was understanding.  “Obviously he was disappointed,” said Elway, “but he didn’t come out and say that he was.”  Click here to read the rest of this entry »
