Adam Schefter is reporting that the Denver Broncos trade of Tim Tebow to the New York Jets could be nullified based on language within Tebow’s contract. The St. Louis Rams could become interested in acquiring Tebow if that happens, Schefter reports.

    Its a sign!!!!!!

Schefter reporting that the contract contains $5 million in recapture money, meaning the Jets would have to pay back the Broncos. He says the Jets are still in play and trying to work out details, but the contract makes things complicated.

Stick with twitter.com/adamschefter and our own @broncotalk for the latest. Now says one league source believes the Jets deal will go through.

calm down teboy. Tebow is gone regardless if its the Jets or St’ Louis or even Canada.

Trading Tebow to the Jets after what he has done for Denver is absolutely disgraceful.  No loyalty; no regard for anything but wins.  People are an expendable commodity akin to a piece of machinery to be discarded at the whim of the owners?

John Elway…you have helped to introduce more corporate greed into a society already sick with its effects.  One day the world will treat you the same way.

I am just done with the Broncos!

    So long, jerkass.

Actually Kerrry I think it is you that needs to calm down.  If you have read anything I said in previous posts, you would know that I am not high on Tebow.  It was a joke.

And we’re (almost) done with this crap.

Disgraceful? Hardly. Divine intervention couldn’t get Tebow to start over Manning. Sanchez, well now Tebow has a shot. Elway just gave Tebowmania a second shot at playing. Tebowmania owes Denver!

Good riddance.  I am so tired of people thinking that NFL teams should do things the right way.  It is a billion dollar business.  You have to be cutthroat in order to maintain your business.  Not sure why everyone thinks we owe Tebow something.  It is the name of the game.

It’s nothing personal against Tebow, it’s just the way things go in the NFL!  Elway said it best yesterday, (and I’m paraphrasing) football will always come first in the Broncos organization not business.  Selling tickets and, jerseys, will never come before football.  It took a lot of intestinal fortitude from Elway to make this decision.  That’s what a true leader does…makes the tough decisions no matter how unpopular it may be.  Give credit where it’s due!

this is how the NFL works. have you been under a rock?

sorry, what is the recapture?  i understand what recapture means, but what are the broncos recapturing?  signing bonus?  salary?

does the contract say it has to be paid all at once?  hell invoice the jets for one dollar for the next 5 million years with no finance charges for all i care

It’d be killer if Kahn offered a 2nd and 4th for Tebow and we eat the $5 mill

  • yohoo

    Hag.

How long have you been watching the NFL? Your comment is mind numbingly dumb. Of course teams, and especially GMs only care about wins. Thats what its all about. They’re not having a bake sale out there every week. And the players ARE expendable commodities. Thats exactly what they are. The NFL is brutal about it. Always has been. Always will be. Ask Montana. Ask Favre. Ask Namath. Ask Jerry Rice. Ask all sorts of hall of fame (not mediocre 1 year starters) players about loyalty in the NFL. They will tell you the NFL is a business, wins are its dividends, and players are the commodities used to get them. Grow up.

Theres a reason NY’s offer was taken over Jax’s in the 1st place. Hopefully they improve on it.
