Josh McDaniels‘s reputation as an NFL coach has largely been built off the quality of quarterbacks he has coached with the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos. Now that reputation is beginning to shift to reflect the quantity of quarterbacks he coaches instead. After the Denver Broncos selected Florida quarterback Tim Tebow in the first […]

Let’s talk about quarterback, baby. Let’s talk about you and me. Colin of South Stands Denver makes his case — if the Eagles don’t want him, he’d be happy to see the Denver Broncos pursue QB Donovan McNabb. Kim at Predominantly Orange agrees, to a point. Maybe a change at quarterback isn’t needed, but a […]

Woody Paige‘s latest column opines for a quarterback change, the long-time crutch of any fair weather football fan, and the most popular debate in sports. …I’d say Brandstater is the starter Week One. Watching this video on McDaniels, it doesn’t appear he’s too confident that either Orton or Simms will be ready. I know a lot of people are thinking Simms, but it’s a high ankle sprain, emphasis on high. Those can be brutal. But hey, that’s just a ridiculously […]

The Broncos signed free agent QB Ingle Martin Wednesday, Jeff Legwold of the Denver Post reports. The move comes in light of the severe high ankle sprain Chris Simms suffered Saturday in Seattle. Simms is expected to miss 2-4 weeks during recovery. Martin was a 2006 fifth round draft pick of the Green Bay Packers, […]

Denver Broncos training camp… news and notes from Sunday’s morning practice. Welcome, Broncos fans, to the third day of live coverage of Broncos training camp! Today will be remembered by me personally as the day I became officially worried about the quarterback situation… but more on that later. The third day of camp saw Brandon […]

Kyle Orton Week continues on BroncoTalk. We’ve already broken down The Good; now let’s take a look at The Bad, with the series’ conclusion, The Ugly, coming later this week. On paper, Kyle Orton is a mediocre quarterback. Boasting a career passer rating of 71.1 in 33 games played over a four-year span, and a […]
