Is it that time of the year already (meaningless power rankings time)? According to Peter King of Sports Illustrated, yes, in fact, it is. [Sports Illustrated] The best thing Woody Paige has written in recent memory. [Denver Post] I heartily disagree with this article by Bernie Linicome saying Jay Cutler will be judged by his […]
I dug up some additional news on what Jay Cutler has been going through since last season before it was discovered he has Type I Diabetes. These are tidbits from an AP article I found on the Boston Herald of all places. Jay says that he had all the classic signs of diabetes and ignored […]

The picture on the left is of Denver Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler from Week 1 of 2007. The picture on the right is from Week 17. The weight loss is noticeable by itself, but take a close look at his legs, shoulders, and waist to really see the difference the disease caused. Cutler lost 32 […]

Type 1, the form Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler has been diagnosed with, is the rarer type of the disease. [Denver Post] Yet plenty of other athletes have dealt with diabetes just fine. [Denver Post] A look at Type 1 symptoms. [Hashmarks] While it may not affect him next year, it definitely had its effects in […]

Denver Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler has been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, CBS4 Denver reports. According to the report, Cutler became suspicious that something was wrong near the end of the season, when he began to lose weight and arm strength. He was diagnosed with diabetes two weeks ago. The Broncos aren’t getting top grades for the 2005 draft, although it’s quite easy to forget that without trading out of the first round then, Jay Cutler would not be a Bronco now. [Denver Post] Talk about a position change – the Broncos want to convert 6th round pick LB Spencer Larsen into a fullback. […]

As Kyle reported earlier, Jay Cutler was on NFL Total Access hosting the Harlem Globetrotters for his charity the Jay Cutler Foundation. The whole segment can be seen in this clip of NFL Networking tailing Jay for the day along with the antics of the trotters’.

I’m not sure how many of you woke up yesterday to this love fest for Philip Rivers by the Denver Post’s own Jim Armstrong. He basically goes into a sixteen paragraph rant about how Rivers is currently the cream of the AFC West QB crop and how the other 3 quarterbacks don’t even compare. The […]

For as long as I can remember Ralph Routon has been the lead sports editor here in Colorado Springs for the Gazette. Recently Ralph took an executive editor position for our other paper, the Independent or “CSIndy”. They are more of the anti establishment, anti-gazette paper. I was never particularly enamoured with Routon’s work at […]

The Denver Broncos are putting in every effort to collect veteran wide receivers. [Hashmarks] Details on Samie Parker‘s deal indicate it’s a vet minimum one-year offer. [Denver Post] Jay Cutler actually brushed his hair for this CBS interview. [CBS4 Denver] Mike Vanderjagt came and worked out at Dove Valley Monday. While the article says a […]
