Editor’s Note: You may have noticed the author of pieces on BroncoTalk filed under an author named “Monty.” That’s me, Kyle Montgomery, the same author, owner, and creator of BroncoTalk since 2006. I originally started BT under that moniker and decided to revert. Apologies for any confusion. John Elway ranks the importance of positions when […]

The Denver Broncos traded back into the fourth round to select Julius Thomas, tight end out of Portland State with the 129th overall pick. Thomas is a bit of a project — a 6’5″, 246-lbs. basketball player who began playing football in his senior season. According to various scouting reports, Thomas excelled in man-coverage against […]

The year was 1998 and the Denver Broncos were playing the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl XXII. The game was one every fan watching from home would always remember, some for different reasons than others. For one girl, the reason would be because it turned her life around. If anyone read my introductory article, you will notice that I disclosed the fact that I have dual loyalties when it comes to NFL fandom: the Denver Broncos as well as the Green Bay Packers.
As you likely know (and if you don’t, you live under a rock), the Green Bay Packers recently won Super Bowl XLV over the Pittsburgh Steelers by a score of 31-25. The Denver Broncos, meanwhile, finished 4-12 and hold the number two overall pick in the NFL Draft this coming April.
Since one of my teams is currently at the top of the NFL and the other is dangerously close to the cellar, I figured that now would be a good time to ask:
What can the Denver Broncos learn from the Green Bay Packers?

This Super Bowl in Dallas is an icy affair. [Sports Illustrated] The Packers and Steelers have set themselves up for Super Bowl success through better drafting… and patience. [DPO] The U.S. government has seized (and shut down) two prominent game-streaming websites. [TorrentFreak] Madden the video games agrees with Madden the analyst: the Steelers will win […]

In the coming weeks and months leading up to the 2011 NFL Draft, you’ll see plenty of mocks and predictions on who the Broncos should pick. This isn’t one of them. This is a fan trying to make a case for a player, or rather, for a position. This week is Senior Bowl week, a […]

We interrupt this Broncos bog to bring you a special announcement: With the Broncos displaying an alarming (not to mention neat) amount of transparency, we here at BroncoTalk figured we would adopt the same approach. My name is Kris Burke and I am the newest member of the BroncoTalk staff. A few articles of mine […]

The Denver Post is reporting that the two sides are close to an agreement on Jim Mora Jr. becoming the newest defensive coordinator in Denver. This would fill the largest hole in John Fox’s coaching team shortly after announcing the first 8 filled positions on his staff. Mora Jr. flew to Denver Monday evening to […]
