Oregon linebacker Casey Matthews is scheduled to visit the Denver Broncos next week, reports Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post.

The 6-foot-1, 232-pounder is a All-Pac 10 linebacker and the younger brother of Green Bay Packers star outside linebacker Clay Matthews. Casey is projected to go in the fourth round in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Meanwhile, University of Miami cornerback DeMarcus Van Dyke worked out for the Broncos and the Atlanta Falcons on Wednesday.

Van Dyke didn’t put up any flashy numbers during his collegiate career, but he did run the third-fastest time in the past decade at the NFL Combine (4.25).

With unimpressive size and strength yet incredible speed, Van Dyke is projected to be a late round selection in April.

I bet if the Clay and Casey Matthews had two sisters they would be named Cadence and Caley.

If he is anything like Clay he would be a steal if he goes in the fourth round!

forget 4th round, let take casey in the 3rd

    lol

This kid would be an absolute steal in the 4th. High energy, never ending motor, smart, tough, good pedigree. Even if he is a rotational LB he would be really solid to plug in and a sweet 4th round pick. I say make a (small) move and grab him late 3rd. Just don't go McD status and trade next years 1st round so we can get him in round 2. At any case he would still probably play more games for us than Alphonso lol.

I just hope he doesnt have that pregnancy disease or prostate cancer or whatever it was that his older brother had that made him test positive for steroids, because he totally is not taking anything. So unfair.

I really like Matthews too. Partially because of his brother and partially because of his play with the Ducks. Only concern is he is much smaller than Clay. However, like everyone else coming out of college, there is still 10-20% growth still there. Round 3 or 4.

    Broncos 7 picks:
    2 defensive lineman
    1-2 linebackers
    1-2 defensive backs (especially safety)
    1 running back
    1-2 offensive lineman

lol that wasn't Clay Mathews that was Cushing

  • Roy

Matthews may not be as physically gifted as his brother, but he did have better production in college. His measurables are about like Laurinaitis, and he is doing just fine in the NFL. I wouldn't mind picking him at all.

LOL… Did anyone else click the link just because “Dyke” was “****” and wondered what the hell was being censored? I can't believe some guy's name is censored, what a joke!
