Post-practice coachspeek from Tuesday, September 8, 2009. Enjoy! HEAD COACH JOSH McDANIELS On RB Knowshon Moreno’s progress “He is getting better every day, doing everything he can do to be ready to go on Sunday. He was in there today and worked in and out of the drills today and some of the team periods, […]

The Denver Broncos have yet to line up with all of their offensive playmakers in place in 2009. Better late than never. Early indications are that QB Kyle Orton, RB Knowshon Moreno and WR Brandon Marshall are on the fast track to seeing the field Sunday for the team’s season opener in Cincinnati. It’s a […]

“When all the facts come out, people will find out Richard (Quinn)‘s done nothing wrong…. Richard did everything he was taught to do to defuse an otherwise irrational person and he’s the person sitting in jail.” [Denver Post] Turning on the way-back machine (not really) to May 2009. Quinn talks about being drafted. [Colorado Springs […]

The Denver Broncos expect injured quarterbacks Kyle Orton and Chris Simms to return to practice this week, Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports. Simms is expected to go through a light workout Sunday as he recovers from a high ankle sprain, while Orton is expected to test his injured right index finger Tuesday.

He got one Thursday night. The Broncos put in a sound […]

The dress rehearsals for the Bronco have been so-so thus far, but that’s not what tonight’s about. Tonight is about the 22 players (23 after adding Brandon Marshall) who are going to be […]

…I’d say Brandstater is the starter Week One. Watching this video on McDaniels, it doesn’t appear he’s too confident that either Orton or Simms will be ready. I know a lot of people are thinking Simms, but it’s a high ankle sprain, emphasis on high. Those can be brutal. But hey, that’s just a ridiculously […]

Possible good news for two thirds of the Denver Broncos backfield today, it looks as if rookie running back Knowshon Moreno and Kyle Orton could be available for the season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals in less than two weeks. Moreno returned to the practice field today, while there are mixed reports on Orton. If […]

Got a link worth sharing? Email broncotalk ~at~ gmail (dot) com. The Broncos must cut their roster from 80 to 75 today. But that’s the same case for every NFL team. Will they also be looking at other released talent, like QB Kevin O’Connell? [No link, just thinking out loud] No one’s certain if either […]
