ESPN’s Adam Schefter has just reported that the Denver Broncos have fired defensive backs coach Ron Milus. This release comes after an extraordinarily bad showing in last weekend’s divisional game at home against the Baltimore Ravens. Milus was in the second season of his second time on the Broncos’ coaching staff, he originally coached Denver’s […]

So you can’t really fault John Fox for not going for more of a home run hit prior to the Ravens getting the ball back, it did work the four out of four times the Broncos had used the strategy. The numbers were in Fox’s corner and if it ain’t broke, play Foxball.

Owner Pat Bowlen says he was “ticked off” after the loss, and talks about how much of an impact John Elway has had on the team. [Denver Post] Despite Coach Fox and Elway’s insistence, or maybe because of it, Fox’s decision to kneel at the end of regulation is drawing criticism and fan angst. [Denver Post] Some football hubris may […]

Broncos coach John Fox has taken a lot of heat for Denver’s two kneeldowns before halftime and overtime in the Broncos’ 38-35 loss to the Ravens last weekend. Â But should he be? Fox is known for being conservative (often overly conservative, actually), but against Baltimore, kicker Matt Prater had already missed a field goal earlier […]

As the hours have passed, John Fox‘s game decisions have come under increased (and deserved) […]

One day before facing the Broncos in the divisional round of the playoffs, the Ravens placed starting offensive guard Jah Reid (toe) on injured reserve. Reid did not play in Baltimore’s win over the Colts last week in the wild card round of the playoffs and will be replaced by Bobbie Williams on the Ravens’ offensive […]

We know. Denver’s Peyton Manning is 9-10 in the postseason, 1-3 following a bye and 0-3 in sub-40 degree playoff games. But here’s a positive number:  Peyton is 2-0 in playoff games involving the Denver Broncos (as was pointed out by Mike Birtwistle in the comments). When the Broncos are on the field, Manning has won by […]
