Wake Up Broncos Country, We Have A Game Today!

What: Broncos vs Ravens (aka Ray Lewis’ Retirement Party)
Where: Mile High Stadium Sports Authority Field -or- CBS if you’re at home
When: 2:30pm MST
Line: Broncos by 9
Temp: 18° F

Today is the day we’ve all been waiting for! It’s been a LONG two weeks, full of unimaginable hype, excitement, and trepidation. Unlike in 2005, this team isn’t based on smoke and mirrors, no, instead, we are the real deal. Our offense is #2 in scoring, our defense is #1 in scoring (against). We are top 5 in both overall defense, as well as against the run and against the pass. We have the all-time great Champ Bailey. We have the best defender in the NFL in Von Miller. We have the pick 6 machine in Chris Harris, and the electric Trindon Holliday!

We have the #1 deep threat WR in Demaryius Thomas. We have a 13TD WR in Erik Decker. We have our 1st round running back running like he’s a 1st round pick in Knowshon Moreno. Ryan Clady is playing at his all pro level, and of course, we have our Hall of Fame Quarterback, arguably the best quarterback to ever play in the history of the NFL, in Peyton Freaking Manning! Broncoland, it’s time to get pumped up!!!

The Broncos and the city need us today. They need us in the parking lot yelling at the Ravens as the players enter the stadium, and cheering on the Broncos as they do the same. They need us in the stands making it impossible for Flacco to hear the calls through his helmet, and even more hopeless when he tries to audible out of a bad call. The Broncos need us to be silent when Manning has the ball, and to have our thunderous celebration after each score completely deflate an old, tired, and washed up Raven’s defense. It’s time to get loud and proud Bronco Nation. Lets leave the past 14 years of fear and loathing behind us. It’s time to act like we are the best team in the NFL. It’s time to have the excitement of being the team to beat flow through every fiber of our bodies. It’s time to party like there is no “respect” hotline in the stadium!

The day we’ve all been painstakingly waiting for is upon us. There’s no time or place for fear. Today is a day for celebration. Lets take that attitude to the stadium and to wherever you might be watching the game. We’ve waited too long for this day, so lets cheer like there’s no tomorrow!

And one more thing….

    This will be a different game than when these two teams faced each other in the regular season. Baltimore has back a handful of players that weren’t available then and we all know how Manning plays in the cold — Go Ravens!!

    The players who were old and injured are still just as old, and only slightly less injured. Ray Lewis isn’t even as good as our backup linebackers. Trust me, the only difference your old, slow, and washed up returning players can make is towards an even bigger beat down than last time.

    This game was a joke. Fucking refs won this game for the Raven. I am so pissed right now. I could of dealt with the Ravens playing a great game, but the fact that there were so many horrible calls just infuriates me. Sorry about the cursing, but I just can’t help.

    John Fox is a pussy… I’ve been saying all along that that sit on it shit would haunt us and it did. Peyton threw it away at the end but that Prevent Offense gave it up LONG before it even got there. One MF’in first down and it would have been OVER…

There was a bunch in this game that screwed us but that is the one that I think gave it away. You have PFM and you dont go for a first down??? I hate Fox and will never stick up for him again.

    If Elway doesnt do something about it your right it will be exactly the same… Man I had to close myself in here (our office area) for a while, my poor dogs think the world is ending and my wife isnt far behind…

    This makes me want to start drinking… And I have not had a beer in about a year and a half… Maybe a Zanex or 12 might help… Or a fist full of ludes!

    Absolutely, another big mishap… Like I said we got beat AND we beat our-selfs. There were a number of playes I was yelling at the TV after Champ got toasted when he was still being left alone. We strait up did NOT adjust to anything on O or D, not enough to win any way and ultimately Fox and his Prevent Offense kept us from winning. He look man lets say they tried it and didn’t get it, at least ya tried and didn’t lay down like the pussy that he is.

    Someone should be fired! Just before half time, they couldn’t stop them from scoring with less than minute left? Bullshit! And then fourth quarter, Ravens have no time outs and less than two minutes left in the game, you give the ball back to them? Bullshit! Already know they will tie the game and they had plenty of time. And last, Why Manning didn’t throw down field at all, only short passes. While Flacco keeps on throwing down deep. To me, that game was fixed.

    Refs called a horrible game, helped with the outcome.
    Flacco was fearless,

    Losing Moreno did not help, though Hillman did okay,

    Bailey age showed, badly.

    Horrible call at the end of the half when we should have punted.
    Horrible call by not going for a first down with 2 minutes left on third and seven,
    Whoever was responsible for the aforemention call should be fired.
    Raheem Moore… how do you let that happen?
    Payton… across your body with game on the line… really?

    Several things go wrong in this one, first off the ten minute delay while the refs couldn’t get their act together was indicative of the way this game got officiated, the refs looked like rookies! !

    With that out of my system now, Denver blew this one, plain and simple, I believe the only player that should hold their head up is Holliday. What a performance.

    The main weakness was the secondary, Exposed on several plays, this should never have been a horse race? Elway and Fox designed this team to hold teams under 20 points, and to have a Manning led offense score over 24. Works great during the regular season, not so much in the playoffs.

    Out coached in this one also, Fox and McCoy aand Del Rio were praised as doing a great job during the regular season by nearly everyone, and they do deserve much of that praise, sitting in the#1seed for the playoffs, no improving on that.

    Several mistakes by Manning also, nothing new there, Peyton has always had this happen, however he can normally overcome any of these mistakes. Playcalling suspect in this one also, not trying for a field goal to end the game? 31seconds and time outs on the board, it’s freaking Peyton Manning! Not allowing Peyton to throw for a first down to keep the ball out of Baltimore’s hands, running only? Isn’t this Peyton freaking Manning? Ditto in overtime also.

    Losing Moreno hurt also, no screen plays that I can remember?

    All things considered, great season, better than expected.
    But an epic failure in post season.

    Feeling much better after this playoff loss vs last season’s!

    What’s up with that practice kick by the ravens? Bullshit, John Fox didn’t call a time out or something. Game was fixed.

    The first half running call at midfield on 3rd & 5 that snuffed out a good drive and then trying that long field goal in terrible conditions on 4th & 7, when the right call and the one I was screaming at them to do, was to go for it! A first down there and it could have very well been 35-14 after Holliday’s kick-off return. The referee WAS a rat too, but still, the better team should have easily won.

    Right before that running play on 3rd and 7 with 2 mins left that eventually sealed the fate of the Broncos, I was thinking about Elway’s 3rd down pass to Sharpe in Pittsburgh that sent Denver to SB32. I was so hoping to see such a play to win this one, but Fox’s balls must have froze and fell off sometime in the 2nd half!
