Garrad raises his hand: “Yes coach, I too, was offended by the Bronco fans yesterday. I tried to get a good night sleep, but I couldn’t help but think about poor ‘ol Henry. Poor guy, thats not ‘PC’.â€

KOA Radio is reporting that the Denver Police Department held a press conference at 4:15 today and announced that Willie Clark was handed a 39 count grand jury indictment as the sole defendant for the murder of Denver Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams.
Williams was the victim of a drive-by shooting in downtown Denver on January 1, 2007. He had just finished his second year with the Broncos.
Clark was indicted in April on cocaine charges stemming from what police have called the largest gang takedown in Colorado history. Among Clark’s 39 charges is another charge for first degree murder.
I am pleased to hear that this case is continuing to progress. I hope that he’s really the guy and I hope he pays.

A rare Mike Shanahan Wednesday injury update — Denver Broncos tight end Tony Scheffler and running back Selvin Young have been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with respective groin injuries. Rookie wide receiver Eddie Royal, who suffered an ankle injury during last Sunday’s game, is probable. Defensive end Ebenezer Ekuban is also probable with a strained groin of his own.
Shanahan joked and said his good mood prompted the early injury update. Normally a player’s injury status for the upcoming game isn’t concretely known until Friday. “Usually I don’t share that with you guys, obviously, but since you guys have been such a good group of guys (being) 1-4 would be a lot different.”
Coach also indicated that Scheffler and Young should be available the following week, a Monday Night Football road trip to Foxboro to take on the New England Patriots. There was some concern Scheffler might be out for the season, but those rumors proved untrue.
Fantastic news, as far as I’m concerned. Now let’s really focus on Jacksonville and figure out ways to attack this defense without Scheffler.

Editor’s Note: If you were offended by the Travis Henry create-a-caption yesterday, I apologize. Just to be clear, these Create-a-Captions are a way for people to have fun. Yes, this site is about football, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy a friendly laugh between fellow fans. Anyone and anything is fair game. At the end of the day, I posted a picture of Henry drinking water. That’s it. The point is to encourage funny captions, but I also need to remind everyone that the BT staff is not responsible for the contents of those comments. You guys are the one who make it funny. Be sure to follow our Comments Policy and it’s all fair game. Thanks for a moment of your time, on to today’s C-a-C!
