Back in December, when everything seemed to be wonderful here in BroncoLand, I wrote an article that nit picked the Broncos. I said that they played down to their opponent’s level, didn’t have a killer instinct, and missed too many field goals. My article was generally panned because again, the Broncos were flying high! The […]

So you can’t really fault John Fox for not going for more of a home run hit prior to the Ravens getting the ball back, it did work the four out of four times the Broncos had used the strategy. The numbers were in Fox’s corner and if it ain’t broke, play Foxball.

Broncos coach John Fox has taken a lot of heat for Denver’s two kneeldowns before halftime and overtime in the Broncos’ 38-35 loss to the Ravens last weekend. Â But should he be? Fox is known for being conservative (often overly conservative, actually), but against Baltimore, kicker Matt Prater had already missed a field goal earlier […]

Last week the Denver Broncos released 2013 Pro Bowl numbers for players on the team whom were placing in the top five of their individual positions. Denver currently employs an astounding fifteen players that are receiving top five votes: Broncos’ quarterback (and NFL MVP candidate) Peyton Manning currently leads the NFL in fan votes for […]

Broncos 26, Raiders 13 — you know what a victory means, fellas. Big Pete provides this week’s BT Game Balls below! Von Miller: The stat line reads 3 tackles, 1 assisted tackle, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, but what the stat sheet doesn’t list, and why after last night’s Texans’ showing indicates is that Von Miller is the […]

Big Pete provides some post-game thoughts on tonight’s game… Has a complete and utter domination by one team over another had such a close score? This felt like a 50-7 football game, yet there we were, giving the Raiders hope when there really was none. Like I said in my nit-pick article, we need to […]

Big Pete of the comments has a guest piece for your reading pleasure this morning. Thanks Pete for volunteering to do this! Let him know what you think in the comments! Since earlier in the week seemed to be “Nit-Pick Day”, here is a list of the things I nit-pick the Broncos about. #1. We […]

On Sunday, the 6-foot, 4-inch tall, 291-pound Mitch Unrein proved that he can do more than merely play on the defensive line. In the second quarter, Unrein lined up at fullback in Denver’s goal line formation and caught a one-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Peyton Manning. Seeing Unrein in the backfield was not surprising, he has provided the Broncos with a beefy […]

Now that was a team victory. The Denver Broncos (6-3) defeated the Carolina Panthers (2-7) by a score of 36-14 on Sunday, despite scoring only two offensive touchdowns. Led by a defensive unit that recorded seven sacks, two interceptions and scored nine points, the Broncos’ offense was merely a compliment to their explosive special teams […]

Following Denver’s 31-23 victory of Cincinnati, Broncos‘ return specialist Trindon Holliday has been named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week, the team announced on Wednesday.  Holliday (5-5, 169 lbs.), the smallest player in franchise history, is a second-year specialist who was claimed off waivers by the team in October. Holliday’s 105-yard touchdown return against […]
