On Wednesday, the Denver Broncos traded cornerback Cassius Vaughn to the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for fullback Chris Gronkowski. According to Mike Klis, it was the first trade executed by Matt Russell, the team’s new Director of Player Personnel. That presumably means that Russell has essentially taken over duties which were held by former General Manager […]

The Denver Broncos began organized team workouts (OTWs) at the team’s facility in Dove Valley on Monday, and a majority of the team was present.  The workouts are closed to the media so nobody but the players and coaches know exactly who was and wasn’t there today. But we have a list of all of the confirmed players that […]
Denver gained more yards on the ground than any other team in 2011 under rush happy coach John Fox. However, one may venture to guess that we will see a serious decline in rush attempts as a result of the transition from Tim Tebow to Peyton Manning. We are left with many questions concerning our […]
This is an opinion piece of the writer and doesn’t necessarily reflect the feelings of BroncoTalk and/or the other writers on staff. We’re now entering the heavy pre-draft season in the NFL world, and every site, blog, twitter account, and message board is talking about their favorite team’s draft plans.  That or creating mock drafts, or talking […]
Knowshon Moreno, Denver’s 3rd year formerly starting running back, is on the verge of being a draft bust. Josh McDaniels drafted him #12 in the 2009 draft and, given his stellar college career, he came into the NFL with high expectations. Much was made about Tebow’s ability to complete passes in 2011, not much was made about the Broncos receivers’ ability to catch them.
Overheard once in a Denver press box in regards to Tebow’s unique throwing style and the ability to hang on to said ball, “Have you ever caught a knuckleball?” Touché anonymous man, touché.
Given that Thomas and Decker have both spent two seasons more or less catching Tebow’s passes–unique or not– they should have the apparent uncanny ability to do so. It did look as though Brandon Marshall had returned to the lineup at several points in the season during last minute Tebow drives however.

The NFL’s 2012 free agency signing period is scheduled to begin on March 14th at 4 (p.m.).  As a primer, we’ll look at five offensive free agents today that we think the Denver Broncos should consider.  Tomorrow, we’ll look at five defensive free agents the Broncos should look to sign. Name: John Carlson Height, Weight: 6-5, 251 Position: […]

Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno was arrested last week on drunken driving charges in Denver, according to the Denver Post. Â After losing his starting job to Willis McGahee during the 2011 regular season, Moreno suffered a torn ACL and was placed on injured reserve, ending his season. With two years left on his contract, Moreno […]

The NFL Network reports that Denver Broncos running back Willis McGahee will start in tonight’s game against the New York Jets, barring a setback to his hamstring injury in pregame warmups. Knowshon Moreno is out, so Lance Ball will also get a fair share of carries. So he’ll test it out, but the plan is […]
