We can debate whether the Denver Broncos should have stayed put at either #25 or #31 till kingdom come. It’s true that two fan favorites– Dont’a Hightower and Doug Martin — came off the board right at those spots. Here’s something that needs no debate — the Broncos lost value in their two trades tonight.

2012 NFL Draft — The Denver Broncos have traded the 25th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft with the New England Patriots for the 31st overall pick. The Broncos also acquired the Patriots’ fourth round pick (126th overall) in the trade. The Patriots used the 25th pick to select linebacker Dont’a Hightower.
