Denver Broncos blog, news and rumors

From a pure money ball stand point take a look at what Wallace doesn’t due– fumble. He has only fumbled three times in three years, you pair him up with the other two receivers in Denver and you’ve got one heck of a problem. Who do you double on a team that has Eric Decker, Demaryius Thomas and Wallace? It’s miss-match heaven and we’re all invited to watch the show.

Yesterday Fox Sport’s Adam Shein had an interesting quote that gained little ground around Denver, but sure rang loudly around these parts, One team Lloyd rules out via free agency is a return to Denver, citing “style of offense”. Hmmm… — Adam Schein (@AdamSchein) February 22, 2012 Brandon Lloyd of course left abruptly after playing […]

A lot of people are coming to Brady Quinn‘s defense following yesterday’s GQ article. Let’s break it down… Woody Paige puts Quinn’s career in context and says he shouldn’t be judged harshly. [Denver Post] Barry Petchesky notes that Quinn isn’t wrong, just “remarkably honest.” [Deadspin] Mike Silver admits that Brady’s tone was not bitter. [ProFootballTalk] […]

Much was made about Tebow’s ability to complete passes in 2011, not much was made about the Broncos receivers’ ability to catch them.

Overheard once in a Denver press box in regards to Tebow’s unique throwing style and the ability to hang on to said ball, “Have you ever caught a knuckleball?” Touché anonymous man, touché.

Given that Thomas and Decker have both spent two seasons more or less catching Tebow’s passes–unique or not– they should have the apparent uncanny ability to do so. It did look as though Brandon Marshall had returned to the lineup at several points in the season during last minute Tebow drives however.

Entering the 2012 off-season, the Denver Broncos will have a lot of decisions to make.  Among those decisions will be which unrestricted free agents (UFA’s) to re-sign with new contracts. A UFA is a player whose current contract has expired, freeing up that player to sign with any team he chooses.  The Broncos have nineteen […]

Over a year ago, Broncos fans celebrated like they were liberated from a maniacal dictator when Pat Bowlen relieved Josh McDaniels of his coaching duties with the Denver Broncos.  The dark ages had finally ended, and though everyone knew the sun would rise again albeit at a very slow pace. Then came the 2011 season. […]

Nobody is about to deny that Broncos second year quarterback Tim Tebow has accuracy and consistency issues. With that said, his inaccuracy problems may be a bit overblown. We all know that every few passes, Tebow will send a pass off course of his target, much to the dismay of Broncos fans.  Whether it’s overthrowing a running back out […]

Right from the get go the Divisional Round match up started out ugly for Denver, especially it’s secondary.  Tom Brady came out of the gate with a 7 yard touchdown pass to Wes Welker and finished with 6 touchdowns and 1 interception.  The one INT was a bright spot for the Broncos defense with Quinton Carter being […]
