The first free agent signing for the Denver Broncos of the 2013 Free Agency period stays true to the trend that the Broncos have followed thus far in the last three years under John Elway. That being low key moves that make sense and moves that hardly anyone had thought of. Denver has signed guard […]

Quick hits from around the NFL… The Broncos first signing was locking up offensive guard Louis Vasquez to a four-year, $23.5 million deal.  This is a curious signing because the team’s Week 1 starting guards in 2013—Chris Kuper and Zane Beadles—both received Pro Bowl recognition last season (as an alternate and reserve, respectively). Denver’s second order of business […]

So you can’t really fault John Fox for not going for more of a home run hit prior to the Ravens getting the ball back, it did work the four out of four times the Broncos had used the strategy. The numbers were in Fox’s corner and if it ain’t broke, play Foxball.

Last week, Broncos starting left tackle Ryan Clady missed practices with a mysterious “undisclosed injury.” Â The injury, now known to be a shoulder ailment, has not kept him from returning to the practice field this week. When the Broncos (12-3) take on the Chiefs (2-13) this weekend, offensive guard Chris Kuper could be on the field.  Kuper is listed as “questionable” after being limited in practice this week. The most likely scenario seems to be Denver resting Kuper this week, giving him two weeks to rest in preparation for the divisional round of […]

On Wednesday, the Denver Broncos returned to the practice field in preparation for this week’s game against Kansas City—in 30° weather. The Broncos were toughing it out in the cold today, with many players wearing sweatpants. Last week, quarterback Peyton Manning wore a glove on his right throwing hand, but not necessarily because it was cold. “I was […]

On Tuesday, PFT reported that Broncos rookie center Quentin Saulsberry was suspended four games by the NFL for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy.  Saulsberry marks the fourth Bronco in the past year to have been suspended for PED abuse. On Wednesday, the Broncos announced that the team has signed rookie guard Lonnie Edwards to their practice squad, replacing the suspended Saulsberry. […]

Big Pete provides some post-game thoughts on tonight’s game… Has a complete and utter domination by one team over another had such a close score? This felt like a 50-7 football game, yet there we were, giving the Raiders hope when there really was none. Like I said in my nit-pick article, we need to […]

Sounds like Broncos‘ defensive end Elvis Dumervil will be a game-time decision this weekend. “He was limited,† Coach John Fox told the team’s official website. “I think we’ll play it day to day and I’m sure we probably won’t have a final decision until about an hour and a half before kickoff.†Meanwhile, cornerback Tracy […]
