“Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.” — That song that, ironically, never ends being stuck in your head. I started BroncoTalk in November of 2006 — days before the Denver Broncos decided to bench Jake Plummer. So this blog has survived quarterbacks Jake Plummer, Jay Cutler, Kyle Orton, Chris Simms, and Tim […]

Back in December, when everything seemed to be wonderful here in BroncoLand, I wrote an article that nit picked the Broncos. I said that they played down to their opponent’s level, didn’t have a killer instinct, and missed too many field goals. My article was generally panned because again, the Broncos were flying high! The […]

Since firing his former agent, Elvis Dumervil has shown a desire to return to Denver.  But the possibility of that happening seems to be fading. Dumervil’s new agent, Tom Condon, teamed up with John Elway and approached the NFL, asking them to honor the contract restructure that Dumervil had agreed to but did not come to […]

The Broncos have made a flurry of moves in free agency, but they are not done yet. Denver is close to the $123 million 2013 salary cap limit, but plan to create more space through the Elvis Dumervil situation and there are a host of other candidates to be released. Â For now, the team’s top […]

The Denver Broncos had a busy day on Wednesday, ultimately signing four free agents. The team started by landing All-Pro receiver Wes Welker to a two-year, $12-million deal.  The signing sent shock waves across the NFL. Next came the signing of linebacker Stewart Bradley to a one-year deal.  Bradley is expected to compete for the starting MLB gig […]

With Elvis Dumervil and the Broncos currently in a contract dispute, we figured the team would lean on Jason Hunter in 2013 if Dumervil left. Uh, about that. Turns out that Hunter, a free agent, has signed with the divisional rival Oakland Raiders. Â Had he stayed in Denver, Hunter likely would have been a rotational […]

The two-year, $12 million deal will keep Welker in Denver through the 2014 season, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Since 2007, Welker has posted five 1,000-yard seasons […]
