The Denver Broncos are playing it safe with starting right guard Chris Kuper. The seventh-year player, who suffered a gruesome ankle injury during last year’s regular season finale, has steadily seen his workload increase in camp, but the Broncos still will not risk playing him this Thursday. Kuper told Darren McKee of 104.3 The Fan […]

The Denver Broncos‘ first depth chart of 2012 has been released. It’s more or less as expected based on our observations from camp, but here are a few items of note. BROCK AT #3 QB I wrote not an hour ago that I expected the backup quarterback order to be Caleb Hanie, Brock Osweiler, then […]

No electricity? No problem. Peyton Manning can still deliver. The veteran signal-caller was faced with a short-circuiting dilemma during the Denver Broncos‘ stadium scrimmage Saturday. As the offense faced 3rd and 6 from the nine-yard line, technical difficulties prevented Manning from getting the play call from offensive coordinator Mike McCoy.

Seeing him on television is one thing. Seeing him in person, in uniform, in the football stadium, is another. 41,304 Denver Broncos fans would agree. That record number of fans swarmed Sports Authority Field at Mile High to do just that — see Peyton Manning — during the team’s fourth annual Summer Scrimmage on Saturday. […]

This has been a training camp full of shattered practice attendance records for the Denver Broncos. Today’s stadium scrimmage is no different. The previous record of 20,782 attendees, set on August 7, 2010, is expected to be broken with ease as some reports suggest as many as 15,000 to 20,000 fans were already lined up […]

The Friday before the Denver Broncos‘ Saturday scrimmage saw the team meet for its eighth training camp workout, a scorching hot affair that benefited from a merciful blanket of clouds halfway through. In a way, that weather pattern mirrored the Broncos defense: they were scorching hot at first before succumbing to Peyton Manning‘s offense later […]

As a friend recently reminded us on Twitter, in Broncos Country, Josh McDaniels‘ surname is a four-letter word. The sound “McDaniels” is fingernails on the chalkboard, a teeth-clinching, shoulder-buckling, neck-hairs-standing-on-end reminder of the worst two-year period in franchise history. Four digits that claw at the brain with nearly the same intensity are 2-0-0-9: McDaniels’ first draft class […]

Denver’s quarterback is more popular than… every other player in the NFL. Peyton Manning—the man who has attracted record crowds during training camp sessions at Dove Valley—has found a new home with a new team in Colorado.  As a result, his No. 18 Denver Broncos jersey has been the best selling jersey on NFLShop.com since […]

Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos again drew a record crowd Thursday morning, the seventh full practice of the Denver Broncos’ 2012 training camp. Over 5,000 fans and media were present to witness the emergence of Demaryius Thomas and the continued near-perfection of Peyton Manning. Let’s break it down. ROLL CALL Absent: S Quinton Carter (hamstring and […]
