San Diego Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman was taken into custody at 3:35 a.m. PDT Sunday morning after he reportedly “choked and physically restrained” reality TV star Tila “Tequila” Nguyen. According to the report, Merriman was charged with battery and false imprisonment and remained in custody Sunday morning. Nguyen was taken to Pomerado Hospital for treatment.
