HEAD COACH JOSH McDANIELS

On T Ryan Harris’ performance during Tuesday’s practice

“He did fine.”

On the chances that Harris will play at Kansas City on Sunday

“I would say (the chances are) good.”

On Harris’ rehabilitation

“I think we’re past the regression part of that injury. There’s obviously going to be a little bit of discomfort, but he’s done a nice job with his rehab. Hopefully, we feel like he’s at a point now where we can just kind of move forward with it. He’s going to have to tolerate probably a little bit (of pain). Only he can know how painful that is. He did fine yesterday.”

Stink List Graphic
I’ve discussed the Broncos slowly simmering breakdown. The same breakdown that can be wholly connected to myself and my slowly simmering breakdown. Last week after the San Diego Chargers owned us, I finally reached my breaking point, something had to give.
Now, anyone who knows me, is used to seeing me as a slightly chubbier Jake Plummer, or a slightly lighter John Bonham, or a pretty dead on Zach Galifianakis, this to say, I have a huge beard and a lot of hair. Oh, also to say that I’m an awesome football/handball player, amazing dead drummer who does serious drugs, and hilarious comedian/actor who does some serious drugs. I’ve looked this way for a good three years. Why? Don’t ask me. It grew, I didn’t cut it. Click here to read the rest of this entry »

My power rankings are fittingly named the ‘Tentative Ten’ because every week it’s subject to change, and erratically at that. Also featured is a Rookie, Defensive, and Offensive Player of the Year Watch, and a Coach of the Year Watch, and Movie to watch this week.

1. New Orleans Saints (11-0)

The Saints put the curb stomp on the Patriots proving that they are the best of the best. It was an absolute dismantling of the Patriots on every level imaginable.

Glaring Stat: Mike Bell – 564 yards, undrafted. Pierre Thomas 648 yards, undrafted. Reggie Bush 277 yards, second overall pick. Rookie pay scale please.

2. Indianapolis Colts (11-0)

Peyton Manning loves comeback wins and the Texans love to give up leads, what a match made in heaven. Click here to read the rest of this entry »

Prater

Below is the press release from the Broncos announcing Prater’s special teams award. Congrats to Prate on another well-deserved nod!

Denver Broncos kicker Matt Prater will be named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for games played during the 12th week (Nov. 26-30) of the 2009 season, the National Football League informed the Broncos on Tuesday.

Prater, who was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Month in September, will receive the second player of the week award of his three-year NFL career. He also was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week last season in recognition of his Week 5 effort vs. Tampa Bay (10/5/08). Click here to read the rest of this entry »

Denver Broncos rookie running back Knowshon Moreno has been nominated for the NFL’s Rookie of the Week award following his 107-yard, one-touchdown performance against the New York Giants in Week 12.  Vote for Moreno here.

Moreno rushed 19 times for 88 yards with one touchdown and added two receptions for 19 yards to total 107 yards from scrimmage in Thursday’s 26-6 Broncos win.  An NFL Week-12 high 26.3 percent of his runs (5-of-19) went for at least 10 yards against the Giants.

During the last three weeks, nearly one of every four runs by Moreno has gone for at least 10 yards for an NFL-best 23.4 percent rate (11-47) over that stretch.

Moreno is playing better, and deserves the award more now than he did when he won it twice straight in Weeks 4 and 5.  Be sure he gets your vote!
