Denver Broncos blog, news and rumors

As Kyle reported earlier, Jay Cutler was on NFL Total Access hosting the Harlem Globetrotters for his charity the Jay Cutler Foundation. The whole segment can be seen in this clip of NFL Networking tailing Jay for the day along with the antics of the trotters’.

I’m not sure how many of you woke up yesterday to this love fest for Philip Rivers by the Denver Post’s own Jim Armstrong.  He basically goes into a sixteen paragraph rant about how Rivers is currently the cream of the AFC West QB crop and how the other 3 quarterbacks don’t even compare.  The […]

Part Two of today’s series explores why the Denver Broncos should avoid drafting a center or guard in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft. Enjoy. The argument of “We have greater needs elsewhere” is getting old, I know, but it comes to a head again. Currently signed centers or guards total over 8 […]

After a busy week last week, we still have a lot to do to get ready for Friday’s final report. The rest of these (week-) daily breakdowns are C/G, CB, WR, and S. Today we’re breaking down the interior offensive line – why we should and shouldn’t draft one in the first round, and then […]

As draft day approaches, BroncoTalk will be giving you game tape highlights of some of the bigger (and smaller) names around the draft. We’re going to cover a position of need for the Broncos not reviewed yet. Today’s installment: Miami Hurricanes Safety Kenny Phillips. The first video is a good general highlight reel of Phillips […]

Here is a cool little reel of different NFL coaches discussing what they look for in a draft prospect.  Shanahan was highlighted by NFL.com in the segment, Gary Kubiak also makes an appearance. Shanahan on prospects: “My experience with the great teams are guys that would play for nothing.”

I’m starting to think the Gazette reads our blog for story ideas.  Last week in our “Draft Memory Lane” segment we covered the terrible 2003 Draft Class.  The Gazette has a new article out on the “rough” 2003, and 2004 Bronco drafts.  They also have a nice spotlight on what Terry Pierce has been up […]

I was taking another peek at the Denver Broncos 2008 schedule and noticed something I hadn’t seen yet – the games around the bye week. Normally a team would prefer to have their toughest game the week after the bye, with a nice breather of a game right before. The Broncos have the exact opposite […]

In case any of you missed this when it originally aired, it’s D.J. Williams remeniscing about draft day when he first thought he would be a Jet and then a Saint.  Are you excited to be a Bronco?  “Can I tell them no?”  Hey, at least he’s honest.  D.J. goes on to clear the air […]

Part Two of today’s series explores why the Denver Broncos should NOT draft a linebacker in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft. Enjoy. In the first segment, I tore down our linebacker depth and revealed its weaknesses. D.J. Williams is only under contract for one year; Niko Koutouvides has been, thus far, a […]
