Evening Links: Ben Garland Signs, Ryan Clady to Skip Pro Bowl

On Tuesday, the Denver Broncos signed defensive tackle Ben Garland to a one-year deal, per Garland’s Twitter account.

The team also announced today that left Ryan Clady will not attend the 2013 NFL Pro Bowl. Â Clady will miss the game due to injury concerns.

Broncos quarterbackÂ Peyton ManningÂ was also named the 2012 AFC Offensive Player of the Year by NFL 101 Awards on Tuesday. Â This marks Peyton’s seventh NFL 101 award.

After missing out on the Manning sweepstakes last summer,Â Ken Whisenhunt may get to work with Pey-Pey after all. Â Following Mike McCoy‘s departure to San Diego, Whisenhunt has become a top candidate to replace him in Denver.

As a reminder, the Broncos will select 28th overall in the 2013 NFL Draft. Here’s a look at their 2013 opponents.

Would like to see whisenhunt here I like Tom Moore but feel McCoy would have a sneak peek inside his head because of manning teaching him what they did in Indianapolis.

Damn it… I just watched some of the early news when I came in the door from work and got on to mention Whisenhunt would be pursued by us… I’d love it, to Coords with HC experience and I think ‘ole Kenny will be more aggressive than Mikey was, as well as stand up for himself (hopefully). I’m betting that Jack runs Jacks deal fully!!!

I think that would be great, plus he and Peyton are supposedly close so even better.
