Update: 4/14/12, 12:31 p.m. (MT):  If you were wondering how in the world Spano got his hands on the Chiefs’ schedule, the answer is simple: He didn’t.

Spano apparently stumbled upon Kansas City’s version of the fake 2012 schedule — that was going around before being debunked by the NFL — and he mistakenly interpreted the rumor as fact.  Disregard the post below, the dates are not correct.

The entire 2012 NFL regular season schedule will be announced on Tuesday, April 17th in a 3-hour special on ESPN at 7:00 (p.m., ET).  Leading up to Tuesday, portions of the Denver Broncos‘ schedule is bound to be leaked.

One member of the media, Mile High Sports Brandon Spano, claims to have gotten his hands on the Kansas City Chiefs‘ schedule.  Per reports, the Broncos will play the Chiefs in October and November this season.

Denver Broncos @ Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, October 14th at Arrowhead Stadium.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos on Sunday, November 18th at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

In 2011, the Broncos opened the season on Monday Night Football against the Oakland Raiders.  Denver lost 23-20.

This year, the Broncos are expected to open the season on Sunday Night Football (SNF).  It has been widely speculated that Denver will be given the maximum amount of scheduled prime-time games (five), with the possibility of another due to the NFL’s agreement with NBC which allows the network to flex the best games to SNF after week eleven of the regular season.

On Monday the team begins offseason workouts.  On Tuesday the schedule will be announced and a little over one week later the Denver Broncos will be on the clock in the 2012 NFL Draft.  The offseason isn’t so bad!

That schedule was a fake. The maker of it admitted it.

Bummer.  Was hoping not to play @ KC in December, where the Broncos are like 3-39 all-time. :)

Ya but all these will change cuz we never had Peyton Manning before

I doubt it.  Elway only won once in December I believe…AT KC.

He also won once in January. ;)

Yeah, but they had Neil Smith then.

Wow, I didn’t realized Spano just grabbed this schedule, I should have checked the dates! Thanks for pointing that out.  I’ll update the post shortly.
