Peyton Manning, Kerry Collins and Brandon Marshall during Pro Bowl Week in Hawaii last February.

Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall was a no-show this morning to the mandatory off-season workouts.

Although Marshall would not have been able to participate in the workouts, he is required to rehabilitate with Bronco trainers.

Marshall has expressed discontent with the training staff in Denver, after they had misdiagnosed the severity of his injury.

Denver’s young receiver is in the city however and is scheduled to meet with Broncos owner Pat Bowlen this afternoon. Head coach Josh McDaniels is expected to comment on Marshall following practice.

We will keep you posted Nation as the story continues.

Mc D and Bowlen need to teach marshall a lesson trade him to chicago that will show him who’s boss

I agree Beast needs to stay out of trouble. That is obvious. Another obvious point is that he was our best offensive player the past 2 years. The guy has unreal talent. Unlike any receiver we have seen wear the Orange and Blue.
This is a business and B Marsh is treating it that way. Do I like what he is doing? Not at all. Not how I believe these things should get done. But this is how agents and nfl players force contract negotiations and he is UNDERPAID considering his performance and value to the team and does not want to risk further injury before signing another big contract.
I am not sticking up for him nor am I a B Marsh apologist but this is how things get done one way or the other and I’m not so quick to just want him shipped out of town.
He has to play this year. He is under contract. He needs to learn the new system. Either way the Broncos will re-sign him or force him to play. If he holds out to long it will kill his stats this year and that doesn’t help him next year. Right now Broncos have the leverage and people are nuts to want him out of here as well. Unless he lays his hands on another woman. But to me, his late girlfriend is a whack job.

There is a lot of ‘troubled’ talent available right now in Free Agency. More talented than Marshall even (Plaxico Burress and Marvin Harrison), not to say that Plaxico’s going to even be able to play.

As far as Marshall goes, I like him when he’s on, but he’s dropped a whole lot of passes the last two seasons. We’ve got a decent four with Royal, Stokley, Gaffney and (Chad) Jackson.

I had a former boss that used to say, “The worst thing that you can do is miss work, you’re just showing the company they can survive without you.” Guys like Swift and Grimes are getting a chance to shine… It’s a system offense, we’re about to see; like last season, when we could literally plug anyone in at running back- our whole offense is going to operate like that.

Brandon Marshall is wanting to secure a cash reward now for obvoious reasons. First of all, he won’t be nearly as productive this year, Case and point, this Moreno kid will be a beast. 1,200 yards plus and this is no Selvin Young bull s&2#$. Rookie of the Year. Not only that, Eddie Royal will emerge as our number one reciever. Brandon is scared and has reason to be. A la Ashlie Lelie, afraid to compete to prove he deserves to be number one. BRANDON, PROVE ME WRONG!! He’s got the talent and skills to be one of the best ever, its his judment that may make him one of the stupidest. I can only hope he doesn’t piss this opportunity away.

Plexico Burress, let’s sign him. The gun incident, while not blown out of proportion, came at a time when two Giants had been held up at gun-point within a couple of weeks. Manhattan does not happen to be a city that takes carrying a weapon lightly and Plax could do three years because of it.

However, he won’t this season… Let’s get him, he can be our Randy Moss, I loved watching him in New York. The man was so injured two seasons ago that he literally couldn’t practice, would hobble onto the field and play like a champ… Like Byron Leftwhich is a bowl game =P

    Brian-

I like the Ashleigh Lelie comparison…

Also! Plax was already suspended 5 games last season for the incident (as his agent pointed out).

This whole thing is just pissing me off. Get you ass in to work and show everybody that you are worth the money that you are asking for. You are under contract so honor it. If i was a boss and you came in for a raise i would be much more willing if you were at work proving you are worth it.
