The Denver Broncos‘ 2009 preseason schedule has been announced, with a few familiar preseason faces and a few new ones, too.

The team is set to travel to the San Francsico 49ers to start the 2009 expedition campaign, and will follow that up with a trip to face the Seattle Seahawks. They’ll have their home preseason opener against the Chicago Bears, to be broadcast on Sunday Night Football, and then host the Arizona Cardinals for their preseason finale. Exact dates are TBA except for the prime time match against the Bears, which will air on NBC at 6pm MDT on August 30th. Full press release after the jump.

NFL ANNOUNCES BRONCOS’ 2009 PRESEASON SCHEDULE

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The National Football League on Monday announced the Denver Broncos’ 2009 preseason schedule, which features home games against the Chicago Bears and Arizona Cardinals as well as road contests against the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks.

The Broncos open their preseason at San Francisco (Aug. 13-17) and play their first home game of the preseason on NBC’s Sunday Night Football against Chicago on Aug. 30 at 6 p.m. MDT at INVESCO Field at Mile High. Denver also visits Seattle in its second preseason game (Aug. 20-24) and hosts defending NFC-champion Arizona on Thursday, Sept. 3, at 7 p.m. MDT in its preseason finale.

Exact dates and times for Denver’s entire preseason schedule will be announced in April. CBS 4 (KCNC-TV) will produce and broadcast all of Denver’s preseason games with the exception of its Sunday Night Football game against the Bears.

Celebrating their 50th season in 2009, the Broncos own a 121-104 (.538) all-time record in the preseason. Denver, which was 2-2 in the preseason last year, has registered at least a .500 record in the preseason during 13 of the last 14 seasons and is 11-5 (.688) in exhibition play since 2005.

The NFL will release the Broncos’ complete 2009 regular-season schedule in April.

again… F Cutler. The coaches and owner should not have to kiss his feet but the fans have had enough of this BS. The guy is a little bitch get over him and bring some of that old pride back to the Broncos.

  • Ryan M.

Ya I am frustrated but I’ll never really give up on the orange and blue. I’m really disappointed in Pat though. We should get all of broncos country together and try to buy the team from him. I want to give McDaniels a chance but I can’t help but think what greatness we could have obtained keeping our offense the way it was and getting a great D.

We went from being a good defense away from greatest to having to totally rebuild. That’s just a huge shame. Anyone who knows a little about this league wouldn’t have let this situation happen. I really fault Pat for all of this.

    Go Broncos!!

So much for Cutler is our QB speech. So long to the playoffs this year. Betcha Brian Dawkins is saying WTF right about now. Wish Pat Bowlen would give me a call. I’d answer it and tell him where to stick it. Here comes 4 straight losing seasons and then Bowlen moves this team to LA with the help of Elway. This team has no defense, and our QB has no spleen. It’s like i’m watching a combination of the the movie Necessary Roughness and Major League. What a joke.

  • robtink242

I am bronco fan before Cutler and I’ll be a Bronco fan after theres no change in that. But McDaniels screwed up big man. This organization all about trust. i can see us loosing Brandon Marshall for Jabar Gaffney, and Tony Shceffler to Jeb Put****, well theres no back to loose.

Hey if we win i’m happy but the only person to blame is PAT BOWLEN. yeh i was never high on mcdaniels i wanted Steve Spag. to get the job.

Forget Quinn lets draft Matthew Stafford at one and see how it goes.

  • BroncoinVA9986

Hey he is still one the curret roster..

  • Broncoholic

This is all on Jay. He’s been all butt hurt since Shanny & his boyfriend Bates got shown the door. Cutler & his sleazy agent jumped all over the Cassell talks as a way to get out, when it was really b/c he couldn’t suck it up and get over Shanny & Bates firing. Our front office wanted Cutler to be a Bronco, Cutler obviously doesn’t want to don the orange & blue so I say have fun getting your ass handed to you in Detroit you little punk ass!

  • walton

It’s good thing they announced it. I mean who wants any leverage anyhow. Now what are the Broncos going to get, maybe a 2nd rounder? Maybe i should breakup with my girlfriend because she didn’t answer the phone. But if I wouldn’t have cheated on her, I probably wouldn’t be in this mess. If he goes to Detroit, my odds are on them making the playoffs before the Broncos.

  • robtink242

broncoholic i agree he may of used it as a escape goat. But that doesn’t justify the stupidity of McDaniels as a coach why trade a franchise QB for a career back who had an alright season. Then theres the stupid comic Xman General manager who i don’t see serving any purpose cause he couldn’t get a contract straight for J.J. Arrington and obviously has less power than McDaniels.

But we are all forgetting the biggest ass Mr. Pat. Bowlen cause he hired all of these pathetic guys.

I tell you what lets get Mick Vick to make the situation more interesting. If McDaniels turn a back up to a noticeable QB lets see what does with a ex-con.

  • robtink242

yeh i think Walton really understands the situation. cause to be honest i would want to play for a team that wanted to trade me for a back up when i probaly would be the highest paid QB in the next 2 years.

  • iwantcutlerback6

cannot wait for the chicago game and i think cutler will tear us up for the quarter that he plays
