Denver Broncos blog, news and rumors

So you can’t really fault John Fox for not going for more of a home run hit prior to the Ravens getting the ball back, it did work the four out of four times the Broncos had used the strategy. The numbers were in Fox’s corner and if it ain’t broke, play Foxball.

The Denver Broncos have selected Derek Wolfe with the 36th pick of the 2012 NFL Draft. Defensive Tackle was a position the whole world saw as a need for the Broncos and in spite of the misdirection John Elway threw around in various interviews in the weeks leading up to the draft, the Denver Broncos were […]

After trading out of round one, here is my list of the top prospects for the Denver Broncos to consider in Round 2. They draft 36th overall, or fourth in the second round. This means at least four of these players will be available for them to draft with their first pick of the 2012 […]

The first round of the 2012 NFL Draft came and went without the Denver Broncos making a single selection after the team traded down, as we expected they would.  Going into day two of the draft, the team has options, with eight total selections. “Our board looked the same, and we have the same players […]

The 2012 NFL Draft is set to kickoff in a mere few hours.  Here are thirty-two prospects I will be closely watching. Quarterbacks: Ryan Tannehill (Sr., 6-4, 221 lbs., Texas A&M).  Nearly every year a quarterback falls farther on draft day than everyone expected he would.  If Tannehill falls, the Broncos wouldn’t blink before drafting […]

On Monday, Denver Broncos V.P. of Football Operations John Elway addressed the media to discuss the team’s draft plans.  In the press conference, Elway noted that the team does not view defensive tackle as a dire position of need. “We don’t feel as bad about our tackles as everybody else does,” said Elway. “I think that we […]

Recently I have taken an in depth look at the college prospects available at our largest areas of need on offense (running back) and defense (defensive tackle (part 1, part 2). With less than two short weeks to the 2012 NFL draft I am breaking down which prospects will be on the Broncos radar pick-by-pick […]

Here it goes, yet another futile attempt to predict and prejudge the finest the NCAA has to offer. Who will the Broncos pick at 25? Find out after the jump. Round 1 1.    Indianapolis Colts Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford I’ll make no excuses. I’m an ardent Robert Griffin III fan. I would slate the Baylor Bear […]
