Before you hyperventilate, relax.  He is expected to be back in time for the Broncos‘ first playoff game.  Breathing again?  Good.

Broncos Pro Bowl left tackle Ryan Clady was not at practice Wednesday.  He has an undisclosed injury that Broncos coach John Fox said he would not reveal until he has to (on) Tuesday.

The injury is not expected to force Clady to miss the Broncos’ second-round playoff game.

That report comes via the Denver Post‘s Mike Klis, who first reported Clady’s injury on Twitter.  We will be following this situation closely—everything will die down quickly if Clady returns to practice tomorrow, or within the next few days.

He was flat on his face during the game, but he came back in ,I think. Maybe have to watch the recording again. Anyway, they have been real honest with injuries and illness, in Porters case. So if they say its minor and he is expected to be ready to.play by the 12th, I am going to accept that until further word. He would be a huge loss and he is playing for a big paycheck next year so I think he will be ready unless he flat out is injured badly.

Yeah, unless we luck out by having a 1996 version of Tony Boselli the same we lucked out by having Dan Koppen when Walton went down, we can not lose Clady. Left tackles are the single most indispensable position aside from the QB on that entire side of the ball. I heard it’s a rotator cuff and that’s why he struggled in this last game. The big thing is that he still played, was fairly effective, and finished the game. Because of that, I tend to believe that he’ll be ready. It isn’t like he’s the QB with a rotator cuff (even though he very much relies on his hands/arms).
