WR Eddie Royal signs with San Diego Chargers

Former Denver Broncos wide reviver Eddie Royal has signed with the San Diego Chargers, according to multiple reports.  No more Royal treatment for Broncos fans evidently, as the fourth-year veteran has signed with the Broncos’ most despised division rival.

Royal signed a three-year deal with San Diego, after catching 19 passes for 155 yards and a touchdowns last season.  Known as a better special teams/return player than as a receiver, Royal is 25 years old.

With Royal now in San Diego, Matthew Willis has jumped to third on Denver’s depth chart — instantly making the receiver position one which needs to be improved by the Broncos.  Expect the team to either add one in free agency and/or draft one in April.

Really Eddie?  It wouldn’t be appropriate for me to write what I think of you now.

    Eddie was a stand up guy while he was here. I wish him the best of luck anyway. Those wishes are of course withdrawn gameday against the Broncos.

    Royal was better at selling tacos than he was at football, and San Diego is close to the border. Maybe they signed him to increase taco sales?

    I see where you guys are coming from, but with the Chargers being better in recent years and the Raiders being terrible, I’ve had more reason to hate SD.

    My Hatred towards the Raiders has enjoyed their high draft picks and losing ways.  The only thing I hate about the Chargers is Rivers…I hate the whole Raider organization right down to the guys sweeping up trash in the parking lot.

    I couldn’t agree more. If the folks you work for do not even try to keep you then they clearly don’t want you and I say go where you can. While I would NEVER cheer for any AFC West team other than the Orange and Blue I hope Eddie no ill feelings. He was a stand up guy and IMO was mostly under utilized and used wrong. Certainly not surprised by the taco thing below, but it is pretty funny.
