Don’t sell your tickets, Broncos fans

Ben Roethlisberger and Mike Tomlin sang the praises of Pittsburgh Steelers fans Wednesday — particularly their ability to travel.

“It’s not something that you get used to. I’m continually surprised and awed by that, particularly when we’re out west. We’ve got world-championship-caliber fans, and that’s why we work so hard to produce results on the field for them.” — Tomlin

“It’s awesome. I think it kind of blows most people away. When you’re on the road and you have guys on other teams that aren’t used to seeing that.” — Roethlisberger

If you see or hear about Denver Broncos fans pawning their tickets to Steelers fans, give them hell for selling out. Serious. Hell. The only team that should be “blown away” by the crowd at Sports Authority Field at Mile High this weekend is the visiting one.

    I emailed 100 craigslist sellers today begging them not to sell to steeler fans. They all say the same thing – no bronco fans are interested in buying.

    How sad is that!!!!

    I agree, there has to be a way for the team to track who is using what tickets, any season ticket holder selling tickets on Craigs List, Stub Hub, etc… Should not be able to purchase them in the future. Sadly with how much Steelers fans will buy the tickets for I can almost understand selling them, I mean 1G per ticket is a lot of money to turn down and also an insane amount of money to spend. I guess if I loved in a shit hole like Pittsburg I’d be willing to spend that too.

    Alll I remember from that game was our DBs playing off the WRs by 10 yards and getting killed on short passes all game. One of the most frustrating games I have ever seen. I believe that Broncos could have won the game and we for sure would have beat Seattle.

    This is a good campaign, however when push comes to shove all the ticket holders wont care who they sell their tickets to. They will sell them to whom ever wants them. I agree it sucks but I don’t think that the majority of people that sell them really even care who buys them. Sad, very sad…

    All I remember is sitting in a stadium filled with at least 40% fatass, black and gold clad jackasses. 

    I’m still angry about it.

    I remember trying to buy tickets on Ticjet Master but since I was living in El Paso at the tint my billing zip code was outside of the area so I couldn’t get them. When I tried to buy from a third party the cheapest I found for crappy 3rd level was a $400 a seat. I refuse to sit anywhere but the lower level.

    Considering that this Tebow lead offense has played better on the road than at home, with the exception of the Buffalo game, then maybe it serve them better to feel that they were actually on the road opposed to being home!

    Thats awesome Trogger… You know the majority of Steelers fans are front runners any way. You never hear or see them when they suck but always do when they are winning. I’ve asked many, yes many, steelers fans how long they lived in Shittsburg and the vast majority have Never Even Been There.

    So I say then why are you a steelers fan and get told because they have won more superbowls than any one else. As true as that is I always wonder where the hell the sense of pride is??? I tell them they are just front runners and of course then I get the big schlap about how the Broncos suck… Bla, bla, bla.

    Well I’d rather be a complaining Broncos fan than a front running schmuck any day of the week. Unlike a good deal here who only know the Broncos as a winning franchise I grew up with the NFL’s most lovable losers that couldn’t win most of the time, let alone the next step when we just couldn’t win the big one.

    So the point is, the next time  you see a Steelers fan around here ask them if they are from there or how long the even lived there, I bet you’ll get “well my uncle lived there in ’72 for a week…lol.

    Front runners I tell ya, plain and simple front runners!!!

    Good suggestion from a fan, but poor from a business.

    The secondary market is desirable for any sports team as it makes season tickets an investment.  This allows them to raise prices significantly year over year.

    One thing the Broncos could do is wear those yellow and brown throwbacks for this game. Then give out about 50K yellow Bronco shirts. Or just give the yellow shirts. That way no one on TV would see the fugly clothes and towels of the steeler fans!
