The Denver Broncos defense did everything it could to put the football game within reach.

Then Tim Tebow did the rest.

95 yards away from a victory, 55 minutes into a football game in which the offense was completely ineffective, the Broncos quarterback transformed. Three quarters of offensive putridity was forgotten. The statistical shortcomings, irrelevant. All that mattered was the scoreboard: a four-point deficit, and a football field to travel.

The Tim Tebow that started four offensive series in Jets’ territory and had three points to show for it was gone. The Tim Tebow that underthrew and overthrew receivers was history. The Broncos emptied the backfield; they gave Tebow an extra blocker and let him execute an offense the way he knew how. And on a 20-yard run with less than two minutes to play, Tebow dodged a handful of tacklers and ran into the end zone.

“We have a resiliency,” Tebow said. “We have a tough team that’s going to keep fighting for 60 minutes.”

The defense sealed the deal (Orange Sunday remembered — no pass interference this time), and the Broncos went on to win, 17-13.

“I trust him,” Von Miller said, who had two sacks on the night. “I hope he shut up a bunch of critics today.”

The Broncos defense should trust themselves, as well. They hassled and harassed Mark Sanchez to the point of ineffectiveness that rivaled Tebow’s early struggles. Andre Goodman‘s pick-six of Sanchez emphasized the Broncos’ defensive night.

And they played smart, penalty-free football to end the game.

The Broncos have won three straight to move back into .500, and NFL relevance. They’ll face the San Diego Chargers, aiming to complete a season sweep of the AFC West when on the road.

You really laid it on the line.  Turn the man loose!  Their lack of confidence is enough to make Emmett Smith a loser!

  • Clara Martin

Tim never gives up and won’t allow his team to give up.  He is a leader and such a likeable person they will do what he tells them to do.  He always gives credit where credit is due and if a guy tries hard but fails he incourages him to keep trying.  His character is unbeatable.  Win or lose Tim is the man!

  • clara martin

Let him pass the way that is normal for him.  The college kids did a good job at receiving so let the Bonco WRs do the same.  Turn him loose!

  • clara martin

Did anyone read about the hospital Tebow is underwriting in the Phillipines (where he was born)  ?  He walks the walk!

  • areferee

The I-Man should post a photo of himself in this lucky regalia…”Tebowing”, of course!

Denver’s defense deserves most of the credit. And Tebow is a tough, smart, compertitive winner. And a Leader. For those of you younger fans, this may seem new, but Bobby Lane ( 50’s ) , Billy Kilmer ( 60’s and 70’s ) and Joe Kapp ( 70’s ) all were horrible NFL passers who were rough and tough and who were inspiring leaders and winners. Deja Vu.

Everybody loves a win, but there’s no way in hell he can do this week after week after week.

At some point we’re going to have to throw the ball to win.

I followed Tebow to the Broncos, so I am new; but, I am very loyal. Tim is so the real deal. What he doesn’t know, he will learn; and what he has, he will share. Football is a team sport; and no one is better at making a team feel united than Tebow. No matter how great an arm aquarterback has, he can’t win alone. Tim plays for the whole team, and they want to play for him in return. I love this passion that has come alive in Denver. Same players, different mindset. I can’t wait to see what comes next.

Pinky and the Brain (Fox & Elway) absolutely showed their hand on that 4th down call in the 1st quarter.  The ONLY playcall was for Timmy to run from the shotgun straight ahead or slightly right/left.  No way on earth you can explain it away.

  • Wildjoe

You got the “JERK” part right, anyway.

I agree herc…but we keep saying this every week….

    Good defense and luck.

    True dat.

As far as passing goes he has gotten worse.  Don’t know how or why but he has gotten worse than his rookie year.  He looks like he is trying to hard when he throws.

They’ll need some help as they’re a game behind jokeland.

    The opiate of the masses!

If it cannot go on forever it won’t.  The big stat that should jump out at every fan and the worshipers is 1 for 11 converting 3rd downs until the final Bronco drive.
Better passing and the chefs would have been blown out.

Forever?  Absolutely not, point is every week we say it won’t work week after week, so the big stat should be…the team is 4-1 after five weeks of “this is not going to work every week”.  You are and have been a steadfast detractor of Tebow, but even you should be able to admit that if he dials in the passes…he just might be unstoppable.  I truly do not believe he is “ready” but when/if he is deemed ready…wow.

Wow… I knew it would be pretty crazy in here ;-).

Wow again… Crazy game! In the first qtr when we were doing the option stuff I was thinking, welp its working again and was stoked that they passed to open, that was a really good call, period! Am 100% baffled why they stopped using the option stuff in the middle part of the game as it moved way better than the conventional running….

All of the last drive was for sure amazing! A great “team” effort. Cant call it anything more or less thats for sure! Personally I was stoked on the read TT made on that TD run, that showed some maturity, I woke my GF up at the time of the play just before the snap when I yelled “He read the blitz” great moment for sure. YES I have a but coming…lol.

When you start that many drives on the other teams half of the field and all are 3 and outs something is not right, period. Its that simple. I have to agree with herc and just don’t see it happening like this week in and week out (YES even though it has happened twice). Those field position opportunities simply can’t be squandered away that much. That is a bad as or equal to a (1) turn over on that side of the field, heck maybe even 2. When does TT play for a whole game? Thats when I will start to believe; when he plays like that for a whole game… or even 3 qrts, consistently! 3-4 games just don’t make a career.

I want to say also that I was MEGA proud of the Defense. We have not seen bad arse D like that in a while and Von Doom is hitting on all cylinders, Bunk was ballin’ to… Very fun stuff to watch.

I love the adrenaline that he seems to help provide for the rest of the team, it is and seems to be quite infections, and yes he’s a winner, and he gives others energy… But can or will that win a trophy. When it comes down to it that is really the only thing that matters!

Ring of fame? No.  Do we take back a bunch of the nasty things we’ve said about him?  Certainly.

“I truly do not believe he is “ready” but when/if he is deemed ready…wow.”

This I agree with as well…

Traiders of the Lost Park… Have always loved that one…lol.

TT for sure didn’t like the suggestion that they have changed the game plan for him last night after the game when he joined the NFL Network guys on their field side set. He said, somewhat emphatically, “No the playbook is the same”… It raised an eyebrow for me the way he responded. If you didn’t see it it was a darn good interview with him I thought.

  • Anonymous

I agree jd… I agree with Trog also that his passes did seem a little tighter but absolutely no gain in his accuracy.

It is really starting to bug the shit out of me that when things like this are discussed that these guys continue to tell you that you are a hater. What a group of ninny bastards…lol.

I appreciate all that support the dude and like him, its for sure your prerogative, but STOP already with the hater crap posts!!!

Some ass hat the other day told me my nick was perfect because all I bring is Doom…lmao, is that crazy or what??? Sure it used to be good for a laugh but its old stick now!

  • Anonymous

So… Does that mean that if he looses 4 games he is a looser? Of Course It Doesnt… I really am confused at the thought process of some of these posts…

Gotta give you a thumbs up Manny :-)…lol

While all in a very different time in the NFL you have a quite valid point!

  • Anonymous

Im pretty sure you and jdkchem really are Raiders fans posing as Broncos fans just to crush the spirits of real fans.  You two are just a bunch of no talent ass clowns who have nothing better to do in life except to criticize Tebow.  Go back to Raiderland and enjoy your life of misery.  Go Broncos

  • Anonymous

Why don’t you talk about something else besides Tebow?  Are you mad at him because he won’t respond to your love letters?

Von Miller had a great game, talk about that hater

  • Anonymous

LMAO look moron if little conversations can crush your spirits you are a mega fag AND a total mama’s butt boy… As for calling me a Raiders fan go fuck yourself AND Get over it bone head!

  • Anonymous

Wow way to bring out the homophobic comments….I’ll let the rest of the people decide who looks like an idiot. Way to show your true colors you neanderthal.

  • Anonymous

You have made it pretty clear that you can not keep up with an intelligent conversation but if you were you’d know I was responding to the topic. Its not my fault that you want TT to pound the hell out of  your mangina…lmao.

If you ever took the time to read anything you’d know that all that you call hater are not at all. You just have nothing else to do but let that diarrhea flow from your feeble little brain, so you do. You are such a pansy ass looser. Mama’s boy…lol.

  • Anonymous

Way to bring our the homophobic remarks.  You have shown your true colors and I will let the rest of the board judge who is the real idiot here.

You made my night… what a neanderthal you are!

  • Anonymous

Wow, way to show your true colors and bring out the homophobic remark, you are a true neanderthal my friend. And by the way, thanks for the insight into my childhood.  You are a real Dr. Phil, and judging by your profile picture, it looks like you could eat Dr. Phil.  Maybe you should do a little less commenting and a little more exercise.
