The woeful tackling and inconsistent running game that plagued the Denver Broncos all year long continued to dictate the team’s lack of success in its 2010 season finale. Another thrilling Tim Tebow rally brought the Broncos back to within five points, but the San Diego Chargers defended two Hail Mary end zone passes and held on to win 33-28.

The Broncos (4-12) finish the 2010 season with the most losses in franchise history.

    Some fun facts

Kyle Orton is the 1st player to lead the league in WORST 3rd down conversion percentage on TWO different teams.

When Orton faced the Chargers this year he was 1 of 12 on 3rd down and accounted for 1 td, 1 int and 205 yards of offense.

In just Tebow's 3rd NFL start he put up 299 total yards and 3 td's. He was also 5 – 14 on 3rd downs.

    so?

  • anthony33

At least the Bronx played hard until the absolute last play of the game.

Tebow has an awful lot to learn no doubt, but with a full trainning camp and now 3 live games, he will be better next year. His ability to extend plays will pay huge dividends once he fully understands where everyone is on the field… like Eddie Royal.

I'll be interested to hear what the SD defensive players have to say about him.

  • TheTroglodyte

So you have a girls name.

  • anthony33

Raider cutting Cable loose??? Surprised at that move considering where they ended up this year.

  • anthony33

So… number 2 pick in the draft, which if the don't trade down is projected to be Bowers from Clemson. That, along with Doom coming back, will give us at great start at having at least a formidable D Line. Still need a complete overhaul, but at least it's a start.

Wade Phillips to run the Defense.. Mike McCoy to run the Offense.. retain Studesville as HC.. the hiring solid GM not sure but some that will have a success full draft and sign solid free agents and most importantly make the proper assessment of the talent that is still here.

Yeah i said it Studesville.. the most economical move. Studesville is a players coach personally i don't have a problem with him.. If we do hire some high name coach we better stick with him..

  • flbronc

couldnt disagree more. not on studesville, he seems to be ok and i could live with it if some of the bigger names shun the job. i would rather have a marvin lewis as dc and anyone other than mccoy running the offense. did you notice the same plays being called over and over again? i'd rather have someone who is more known for developing quarterbacks as oc.

  • Adrenaline27

    LOL

  • crazykid

we promote Ben McDaniels to OC? lol

  • robtink242

i seen the similarity in plays because there is a rookie running the offense.. i do care who coaches this team.. but i really want us to go to a more traditional team with a solid GM who is over the coach rather than a 'puppet'.

  • jdkchem

The first non-losing season in 7 years

  • jdkchem

Actually a solid quarterback coach would be better.

  • jdkchem

    1982 was worse.

  • Rob_Bronco

Hahahaha! it's been 10 minutes since I read this response and I'm STILL laughing out loud :)

  • robtink242

i think it will be a long time before you hear the name McDaniels when it comes to the Denver Broncos

  • troyn

So Kerry, we have our QB. If you can't see that you are blind, jaded, or just a person who bitches and moans for the sake of bitching and moanng. TT is the real deal, I wasn't sure of that when he was drafted, but there is no doubt now. With the right coach and scheme, this kid can lead the broncos to a championship. He leads, he makes plays and have no doubt he is a winner. Something that has been missing behind center since No. 7 retired.

  • SoCal Den Fan

We need Jeff fisher and a strong DC

  • Vince_marine

If they do cut him, we should bring him in to coach our O-line. That's what he did with the Raiders before they promoted him to HC. He could maybe bring a mean streak to those front 5.

  • Timmay Time

The Tebow haters may or may not turn out to be correct, but the thing is it's too early to tell for sure, and Lord knows we have time to find out: this club requires at least a two year rebuild, by which time we'll know whether Tebow's our QB or not. So in the meantime, keep him to see what we can do and use our picks to fill all the huge holes on defense.

What I want to see on draft day: using the #2 pick on a monster DT/DE, trading Orton for a 2nd rounder and using that pick and all the rest to fill holes on defense (maybe one OL if anyone decent is available).

For me 87 or 89 was the worst season. Getting to the Superbowl and being completely blown away is much worse than being 4-12

As crazy at it sounds I would like us to keep Ben on the staff as our QB coach, say what you will about his brother but he's done a good job here.
