The Denver Broncos select Notre Dame center Eric Olsen in the 6th round (183rd overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft.
Olsen (6’4″, 306 lbs.) brings impressive physical tools and measurables to the Broncos’ center competition, including 35 bench press reps at the combine (fifth-best among all combine attendees and third-best among offensive linemen). He started at guard for the Irish in 2007 and 2008 and was Notre Dame’s starting center in 2009.
The Broncos earlier drafted C J.D. Walton in the third round.
Some concerns about his speed and leverage, but this guy is a beast. Good pickup. Broncos leave the draft with good competition at center and guard.
