** Updated Sat. Apr 24 6:24 p.m.

The 2010 NFL Draft begins this Thursday, April 22nd, and with several trades taking place in the last few weeks, the Denver Broncos‘ draft order continues to shift.

With that in mind, here is an updated list of the Broncos’ 2010 draft pick order. The Broncos had nine picks in the 2010 NFL draft.

  • http://www.broncotalk.net Josh Temple

Funny you would post this right now, I was just finding this on NFL.com. I kept reading people say we had two 1st rounders today, I think they forget that pick went to Seattle.

  • kerry

alright. tons of ammo to trade for that blocking TE we really need!

  • http://broncotalk.net Kyle

Kinda depressing that we still only have 7 picks despite all the departures. Gotta remember the first from 2009, second in 2011…

  • rickthek

about the only thing the broncons don't need is a blocking tight end – whose better than Graham?

  • http://www.broncotalk.net Josh Temple

I saw somebody propose we trade for Gaithers from Baltimore today. I thought if there's one position locked up, it's offensive tackle/s.

  • http://broncotalk.net Kyle

The Internet needs a sarcasm font.

  • MrEast

I'm happy with seven. After seven picks drafting gets a lot more complex and then signing them all and getting them into training camp on time becomes a nightmare.

  • Tom9798

    Kyle . . . this is for you . . . . I’m feeling sarcastic . . . . so I will answer as though I was McD . . . .

    Hi gang . . . Big Mac here . . . you know I read all these blog things so I can stay in tune with Bronconotion . . . . sometimes I laugh til’ I’m moist . . . you know . . .

    Everyone’s a genius eh? . . . sure you know what’s gonna go down? . . . . think I’m going to take McClain after 50% of you people think I will? . . . guess again! . . . .

Thought you would have learned from last year . . . . 78% of you were sure I was going to take Orakpo with the first pick . . . I met the guy and he was MEAN! . . . I thought for sure he would be in a Pro-Bowl in his rookie year . . .

    And you all know by now how I feel about Pro-Bowl caliber player’s! . . . .

    So I went ahead and drafted a ninth running back . . . . after I watched him run laterally, slip and fall a few dozen times . . . . I knew I had the right guy . . . . and he wasn’t nearly as mean as that other guy! . . . .

Giving away the 1st rd. 14th pick to the Seahawks for Alphonso Smith . . . . now give it up gang . . . . you’ve got to crack open a cold soda for that one! . . . .

    The other guys seem to be good system guys too . . . I can’t remember names off-hand. . . but that’s because none of them stand out . . . I mean as causing any problems . . . . on our club . . . if you want to stand out . . . it better be on I-25 . . . before you hit the road . . .

    Sure Prater doesn’t need competition at his position? . . . .

    If you think last year was a surprise . . . just wait . . . . Tebow at 11th? . . . . just the best fourth QB I need! . . . . we can run the Wildcat 75% ( or 3/5ths ) of the game! . . . .

    It sure is a blessing knowing I have your support! . . . . McD . . . . .

  • http://broncotalk.net Kyle

Well done. But the funny thing is, I wouldn't be surprised (and wouldn't mind) if the Broncos drafted RB CJ Spiller.

  • Tom9798

Kyle . . . I would be thrilled if the Broncos drafted CJ Spiller! . . . but the sarcastic point I was trying to make is that there isn't anyone that know's what is going through McD's mind!

It is all conjecture on our part . . . . and all sarcasm set aside . . . I will s**t if he actually does take Tebow with the first pick . . . T

  • kerry

well we are at the left side. Harris may not fit the power blocking scheme we are running now. i wouldnt be surprised if he was dealt draft day and we got a mauler like Campbell or Trent Williams. however that would be retarded because we need interior help.

  • kerry

we just spent a first rounder on moreno. getting spiller would be a waste of a first round pick.

  • NMBronc

Any word or thoughts on Doom?

  • fruitawildcat

I think the Broncos should trade down in the lst round…say to 22 to New England..and forsake Rolondo McClain for Maurkice Pouncey as their #1 draft pick…if they can pick up an extra 3rd or 4th rounder out of the deal it would be worth it. In the 2nd round I would love to see Terrence Cody from Alabama or Dan Williams the nose tackle from TN selected with the pick from Miami…and then use their own pick on Tim Tebow. In the 3rd round Montario Hardesty the RB from TN would help take the pressure off of Knowshon Moreno. Presuming we trade down in the lst round..the extra pick gained could be used on John Jerry G out of Mississippi..this huge lineman has a nasty streak and is the brother of last years #1 pick Peria Jerry. In the 4th round if he is still on the board….Marty Gilyard the WR from Cincinnatti would be a great pick. With the pick acquired from the Eagles they could take TJ Ward from Oregon the hard hitting safety out of Oregon. In the 6th and final round for them..they could select Freddie Barnes the speedy WR and KR from Bowling Green who led the nation in receptions.

Rd 1 Maurkice Pouncey C Mississippi
Rd 2 Terrence Cody NT Alabama
Rd 2 Tim Tebow QB Florida
Rd 3 Montario Hardesty RB Tennessee
Rd 4 John Jerry G Mississippi
Rd 4 Marty Gilyard WR Cinncinnatti
RD 5 TJ Ward S Oregon
Rd 6 Freddie Barnes WR Bowling Green

    Mock 2

Rd 1 Rolondo McClain ILB Alabama
Rd 2 Dan Williams NT Tennessee
Rd 2 Demaryius Thomas WR Georgia Tech
Rd 3 Javiar Arenas CB Alabama
Rd 4 Brandon Carter OL Texas Tech
Rd 5 Rashawn Jackson FB Virginia
Rd 6 Trindon Holiday WR/KR LSU

    MOCK 3

RD 1 Derrick Morgan DE Georgia Tech
RD 2 Maurkice Pouncey C FLorida
Rd 2 Dan FeVevour QB Central Michigan
Rd 3 Jordan Shipley WR Texas
Rd 4 Akwasi Owusu-Ansah CB Indiana (PA)
Rd 5 Donald Butler LB Washington
Rd 6 Marshall Newhouse G Texas Christian

    GO BRONCOS!!!

  • Broncomaniacarama

We are trading out of the first round you watch!

  • Ortonfails4real

Orton sucks btw true story so get off his d……….. he is horribly boring.

  • sunvalley bronco

    step up from jay anyway

  • Lee Hailey

I am interested who the broncos select in today's third round. I am excited to talk broncos football with other bronco fans.

  • Lee Hailey

WHEN THE BRONCOS SELECT IN THE 3RD ROUND TODAY WITH THE 87TH SELECTION, EXPLAIN TO ME THIS: HOW MANY DRAFT PICKS DID WE GIVE TO PHILADELPHIA TO MAKE THIS DEAL?

  • 12508

OK PEOPLE. AFTER WATCHING LAST YEARS DRAFT AND THE FIRTS 2 ROUNDS OF THI DRAFT WE HAVE A HUGE PROBLEM. THIS GM HAS TO GO!!!! LAST YEAR HE TAKES MORENO HUGE BUST. THEN HE TURNS AROUND AND TRADES A #1 THIS YEAR FOR THAT BUM SMITH WHO IS SO BAD WE HAD TO SIGN TY LAW TO DO HIS JOB!!! THIS YEAR IS JUST AWEFUL. I WOULD TAKE A LETS JUST WAIT AND SEE BUT COME ON!!! BILL PARCELLS COULD NOT COACH THESE PLAYERS. THIS IS SO BAD. I LIKE JOSH. PAT BOWLEN KNOWS HOW TO HIRE A COACH. WHAT IS KILLING OUR TEAM IS THE GM'S. THEY DONT HAVE A CLUE. WE ARE DONE. I HAVE THE PAPER BAG READY. IM CUTTING THE HOLE IN IT TONIGHT. TIM TEBOW BETTER PRAY FOR US.

  • areferee

You're smokin' way too much crack, man…and why are you shouting? All caps don't resonate well here. If your words are legitimate, you don't have to force feed them on all of us.

  • areferee

I suspect it's all about the “coin”. He deserves a good contract and he and his agent may hold out until the end of camp, if he has to in order to get it. I think he wants to stay in Denver and the org. wants him here, as well. So do I.

  • Davie

I have no problem with Tebow if Joshie wanted him that bad, then great, TAKE HIM AT 24. Essentially moving up to get Thomas and moving back in to 1st get TEBOW, cost the Broncs 4 PICKS a 2,3 and 2-4th rounders. Half of their draft for a wide receivier! These guys played with their draft picks like chips at the casino! – I'm up, I'm down what the h##l, put it all on 37!

  • Frustrated Bronco Fan

Why on earth didn't Denver draft an inside linebacker??? We let Andra Davis go and then pick up no one in his place. I don't understand their thinking.

  • Frustrated Bronco Fan

They took Tebow where he did because they were afraid New England was going to take him two draft choices later with pick number 27.

  • beastrules0015

well frustrated ,it must be that the coaches feel that mario haggan is sufficent and trust thier developement of players.Or could be that they'll address it in free agency either way they trust their ability to develop players.Which is something i'm glad we're able to finally do.

  • bigdo

two risky picks and all the rest are either solid or not a risk at all…

taking Parrish Cox in the 5th round was a shrewd move; that kid can play and woulda been a 1st-2nd rounder had he not gotten caught for a DUI last Summer….

I like taking Decker…I think he' s big/athletic enough to be our no.2 wideout and then we can just let Royal be our main slot guy along with Stokley and can finally ditch the dead weight that is Brandon Lloyd….

Would've liked to see us take Hernandez at TE…or just a TE in general…also woulda liked to see us make a run at the DE from USC that fell outta the early rounds…

  • nisse

has anyone in the broncostaff said anything about mario playing ilb?
today josh talked as if he would still be playing olb.

  • bigdo

Moreno was a huge bust? He was rookie of teh week like 4 or 5 times and while his numbers weren't huge and he fumbled a few times on the goaline, it's plain to see there's potential there…

  • Stav

All I wanted was an ILB – I can't complain about the first five picks, maybe not even the sixth as he's supposedly explosive on special teams, but how do we not take any ILB's with the next two picks? Haggan? Woodyard? Woodie needs a good 20+lbs to go inside. I guess they are thinking that with the new DLine all you have to do is be an efficient tackler, we'll see, but I give us a B- for this draft only because ILB was a glaring hole that wasn't addressed. Decker was a shrewd move because we're looking at Stokely's bigger replacement – love the pick. Thomas at WR – love it. Tebow – a little earlier than I would have liked but don't tell me he was making it to round two or falling to our round 2 picks, no way. The guy has a buzz about him. And then we bolster the Oline for the new running game.

    Few if any complaints here.

  • dbroncs24/7

We signed Akin Ayodele from the Dolphins, he's better than most of the prospects with the exception of McClain who we couldn't have gotten anyway and has 3-4 experience

  • jacknife355

bull $*&% they know who came out in the draft its no excuse for that slickery

  • ocbronco

McD said they feel great about our 4 linebackers which incl Haggan at MIKE. I have no problem with that as he was great last year and should be fine playing inside this year…….

  • ocbronco

McD said in his presser today that Haggan has already transitioned to ILB and they feel great about that group. Doom, Haggan, DJ, and Ayers.

I can't argue with that core. Ayers is the biggest ? and he'll need to improve to make this group solid. If he makes the jump from yr 1 to yr 2 we should be good. Not worried about Haggan moving to MIKE at all.

  • orangecrush4life

We probably didnt draft one because of all the upcoming releases that teams will make and we will also probably try and sign a ilb that didnt get drafted

  • orangecrush4life

Decker reminds me of Ed McCaffrey so i think he will be a solid number 2 and Demaryius will be our 1. Yea i think McD will try to use Royal like he used Welker in new england now

Sports Science on Tebow's throwing mechanics, and the changes he's already made.

  • 12508

It is sad that every mock draft you posted is better than what this gm and coach could come up with. Im a huge Bronco fan from NY. I swear i cant take much more of this crap. Being a Jets fan dont look too bad right now. Good job.

  • 12508

fruitawildcat should be our GM. Every mock draft he put together is better than what they did. In mock 1 he got a DE,C,Tim Tewbow in the 2nd,wr,and a rb we need. This GM is a joke. Im a huge Bronco fan from NY. I cant take much more of this. I agree Cutler, BM, and Sheff had to go. They have done some nice things like Dawkins. But the drafts are really really bad. Bowlen is a great owner. His mistake was giving Shannahan total control. If he didnt do that he would still be the coach. Josh is probably going to lose his job because of this GM. It starts with the draft and salary cap. That is what the GM does. Look at the Jets. That GM knows what he is doing. The Ravens GM. I hope Pat Bowlen wakes up before we look like the Raiders. By the way Raiders and Chiefs had a better offseason than us. I hope its not too late. Im thinking about taking down the Direct TV dish and rollin with the JETS. I cant take much more. MR BOWLEN PLEASE HELP. you deserve better and so do we. Get rid of this GM. Bring Elway,Romo, and Sharpe back to run the show.

  • 12508

By the way Moreno is a bust. I dont care how many Rookie of the week he got. How many times did he want off the field last year? Did you watch the games? Moreno is not fast, explosive, or tough. Cant run outside or inside. Not great catching the ball. He went in the 1st round. Come on. If you think this guy is a #1 back we have a cb named Smith who will be in the Pro Bowl next year too. What is the upside with Moreno. I tell you what it is. We have nothing else. I hope im wrong but i doubt it.

  • ericinvegas

I can't believe I have to say this, but I guess I do.

Newsflash: NONE of fruitawildcat's mocks could have come about because other teams have a say in the process too.

Mock 1 – Even assuming Tebow would have lasted to 45, Hardesty didn't make it out of the 2nd, and Gilyard didn't make it past the 1st pick in the 4th round.

Mock 2 – McClain was gone before 11, and Dan Williams was taken in the 1st.

Mock 3 – Pouncey didn't make it out of the 1st round, and Butler didn't even make it to Day 3, let alone the 5th.

I certainly understand your frustration, even if I don't agree with your sky-is-falling assessment, but it's kind of beneath you to criticize the GM for not executing a pie-in-the-sky plan. You're a New Yorker – you're better than that, aren't you?

  • 12508

what does NY have to do with it. If you want to sit back and let this GM destroy the team go ahead. If you are happy with Moreno and Alphonso Smith you are nuts. If you think we neede to draft a wr, and a so called qb in the 1st round this year i dont know what to say. Did you see Tom Jackson this past weekend? He couldnt even talk about the Bronco draft. He would just stare at his paperwork. Ravens had a better draft and didnt have a #1 when the draft started.

  • inrodwetrust

Well Mr. NFL analyst before you wave your magic bust wand, why don't you look at some other running backs rookie seasons. Lets look close to home, if Terrell Davis had been drafted 12th over all do you think anyone would have been disappointed in his performance? His rookie season was: 237 carries for 1,117 yds and 7 rushing TD's with 1 receiving TD. Now Moreno went: 247 carries for 947 yds with 7 rushing TD's and 2 receiving TD's. So by your logic he is a bust because he got one more touchdown but 170 less yards on 10 more carries than arguably one of the best running backs of all time? Furthermore our O-line has been pass first since 2008 and has struggled making holes in short yardage situations, care to factor that into your formula?

  • darwinj

I agree with inrodwetrust in regards to Moreno. Very seldom rookies run wild behind a mediocre line-in transition from zone blocking to power blocking scheme. He will be good and he has great attitude!!
Ayers will step it up this year and Smith should to. The second year is the key for rookies. I look for several of last year's class to make a difference. Keep an eye on Chris Baker-he is a beast!!!

  • Will_StL

knowshon will dominate as soon as our o-line gels.

  • 12508

Make all the excuses you want. Moreno cant run inside or outside. We had one of the better lines in the league. Buck had no problem putting numbers up when he was healthy. I agree that Ayers is a player. Im sure you think Smith was worth a 14 in the 1st this year too. What a bone head move. Isiah Thomas wouldnt even make that move. Would you trade your #1 next year for the 1st pick in the 2nd round this year? YOU would not make such a stupid move. Our GM did that!!! For a CB. Unreal.

  • 12508

You guys act like Moreno was getting tackled behind the line on every play. He is just not very good.
