Allow me to go off-topic momentarily, BT family. I hate doing it, but every once in awhile, circumstances require it, and this certainly falls under that category.

You may have noticed the content has been lacking at BT lately. This isn’t an indication of lack of dedication on my part, or any hint of tiredness or boredom. It’s a sign that my roof is caving in.

Some of you know I call Flagstaff, AZ home. Recently Flagstaff received record snows — 54 inches in five days, the third-highest total in the city’s history and most in several decades — and a lot of buildings suffered. My literal home, i.e. the structure in which I live, was among them, and began cracking and dipping quite severely under the sudden increase in weight. Long story short (too late?), I’ve been relocated to a little hotel in town while the insurance company figures out what to do. That’s a gross oversimplification of all the appointments and traveling I’ve had to do and continue to need to do, but you get the idea.

On top of the busiest schedule I’ve had in years — maybe ever — BT has suffered. I apologize to you.

I’ll begin this apology by looking for help. We’re looking to expand our staff. If you’re interested in trying out, please send an email to broncotalk {at} gmail dot com. BroncoTalk gets hundreds of thousands of hits per month; we’ve built this traffic through three years of hard work and certainly don’t plan on letting it slide now.

We’re also thrilled to welcome Ian Henson back as a contributing author (or something — I gave him a job title because such labels drive him nuts). Be sure to check out his work over at The Orange Page too.

The bottom line from my standpoint: It’s going to take a few more days or even weeks of concerted effort for me to catch up in the “real world.” Until then, I might not be back to Daily Links, Broncos Blogs, and the persistent opening of my head to which you’ve all become accustomed.

Sorry, but life goes on, and so will BT. I do truly look forward to getting back in that saddle.

And getting rid of Mike Nolan, Josh McDaniels?! Are you insane?! I thought my roof was collapsing…

Thanks folks,

Kyle

We had between 6″ and 10″ of snow overnight a couple of weeks back and the entire UK just shut down for a week.

Anyway, here's something to warm you up – I got my tickets today for the London game. Wated to sit on the Broncos sideline but ended up in the corer of the end zone.

Heaven help us… We'll give that hamster that turns the wheel a little creatine.

That stinks Kyle… But I Love hotels, pool, gym, and breakfast, internet [only for blogging of course]. Haha, hope things get worked out.

  • dogheadbrew

Sorry Kyle. We here in Denver would love to have had your snow. Or at least in the high country. I hope you have good insurance people, and get home soon.

Love BT. Get the roof fixed, take all the time you need. This is a website I look to everyday, but somethings are more important than football. Take care of ya business bro, we will all wait. I know I will be right here when it all comes back. At least this did not happen in the middle of the season (wait, there was nothing to write about week 8 either). Thanks for all the great insight, BT is always my first stop…well after woot.com of course..

Keep it up Kyle! BT is a BA site!

At least there are folks like you benefiting from our silly trip over there!! Not much beats the NFL live! Enjoy the show!

  • WhidbeyBronco

I've spent my share of nights in the Flag's hotels (Phx boy). Sounds like you have a good excuse to be there, enjoy it! Up here in the Sound this winter, we've yet to see the ground white! I miss it.

The roof is caving in on you and the Broncos…

  • Gary_in_SD

As long as we're the road team, I'm glad we're going over there! It's the Niners who are the losers because of having a home game on a neutral field.

  • Fan From Spain

good luck with everything Kyle, remember this is just a blog and your own home and well being is more important, so don't be sorry.

hope things get better soon for you

“And getting rid of Mike Nolan, Josh McDaniels?! Are you insane?! I thought my roof was collapsing…”

You'll get chastised around here for that statement, or told how negative you are…lol.

I know exactly where you are, had the same thing here in our '03 blizzard, I had 5.5ft on my house and in my yard. Hope you guys the best and hope the Ins company does right by you.

  • Plato

Can I chastise you for being chasised?

I'm scared to see Mike Nolan go, but at least Martindale provides some version of continuity. Still scared nonetheless.

  • Doom92

Sure, I was being a little less than positive so absolutly…lol.
