  • Rick Dennison‘s departure to Houston leaves the door open for Josh McDaniels to make the sweeping offensive changes over which we’ve speculated for weeks.  [ESPN]
  • Brandon Marshall actually had more big plays in 2009 than 2008.  The difference in his yards per catch (11.1 from 12.2) is more attributable to the lack of intermediate 10-20 yard throws.  [Denver Post]
  • Oakland Raiders defensive lineman Richard Seymour will consider 31 teams as a free agent this offseason — all except the New England Patriots.  [ProFootballTalk]
  • The New York Jets‘ season can be broken into three parts: a 3-0 start, a 1-6 slump, and a 6-1 finish they’re currently riding.  The San Diego Chargers will pose their biggest challenge since Week 4 in New Orleans.  [San Diego Union Tribune]
  • Tom Cable‘s status as head coach is still uncertain as he has yet to meet with Al Davis.  [San Jose Mercury News]
  • Chiefs coach Todd Haley is building his list of core players.  [Kansas City Star]

I totally agree with you. B-Marsh is still very productive and has been the most consistent player on the entire team. We have some guys that are overpaid who aren't producing the way they should and we should be freeing up those salaries to keep B-Marsh around. Gaffney makes more dough than B-Marsh??? Somebody needs to put that Crack pipe down and start looking at some reality before we have another losing decade. One last thing, When Shannahan was fired, we were 8-8 that season with 24 players hurt. With a new coach and healthy players, we were 8-8. Do you guys really think that McDaniels can be more effective than Shanny? I think not!!! If he lets B-Marsh go for a draft picks, that will prove his inexperience as a coach and a leader. Right now, he can't afford neither adding to his mediocre reputation. Pay the man already and let's start winning a “Mother F*#@ing” football game!
