Previewing, breaking down, and picking the winners of this weekend’s playoff action. Your picks and game discussion in the comments.

NYJ CIN
Jets (9-7) at Bengals (10-6)
2:30 p.m. MT
The Line: Bengals by 2.5

The Story: The New York Jets were 7-7 when the Indianapolis Colts and Cincinnati Bengals decided to lay down and let them back into the playoffs, but after a 37-0 shellacking of the Bengals last week, two turnover-free games by Mark Sanchez, and the most media-repeated stats of the 2010 season (“#1 defense, #1 scoring defense, #1 running team!”), the Jets look like a legitimate contender.

The Breakdown: The Bengals have gone 1-3 down the stretch, but they expect to have RB Cedric Benson healthy, along with run-stuffing DT Domata Peko, who has missed the last five games with a knee injury. Getting Peko back will be huge as the Bengals try to stop Jets C Nick Mangold from opening up the types of holes that have led the Jets to the #1 rushing attack. Meanwhile, the Bengals secondary boasts possibly the league’s best cornerback tandem in Jonathan Joseph and Leon Hall, who led the NFL in passes defensed by a DB duo.

The Pick: I like Cincinnati at home, healthy enough to stop the run, and definitely talented enough on the back end to force Sanchez into some mistakes. This will be a low-scoring affair. Bengals 13, Jets 10.

A lot of energy by the Bengals early. Cincinnati staying stout up front defensively.

Helluva block by the Bengals RT there. Holy cow, dropped his block to hit a blitzer from Palmer's left side. Most impressive.

Cedric Benson ran through a brick wall there. Nowhere to go, yet gained 4 yards. Bengals up 7-0.

I like the Bengals for this one too. I mean, I know they're in the playoffs and leading at half time but the Jets just don't seem like they're a good football team. I'd take the Broncos over them any day.

I know Carson Palmer hasn't been stellar this season, but who would have thought the key to the game would be Mark Sanchez outplaying him?!

the bengals seem to have figured out that they just have to hand the ball off and run and run. could go all the way to the wire

Shayne Graham — their franchise player! — just killed the Bengals' season. Now can he kill the commentators? jeebus.
