only idiots write for the Kansas City Star. and the bleacher report is always full of nonsense. its defense all the way with the first 4 or five picks.

  • http://www.broncotalk.net Josh Temple

Sayre is the one person at Bleacher Report that I don’t think is a complete idiot. You want some real anger fuel start reading posts by “Raider Card”

  • http://BroncoTalk.net Mr.East

Josh I put the Ron Brace update in there. I hope you don’t mind!

  • http://www.broncotalk.net Josh Temple

Thanks East. I think I’ve been avoiding PFT now that Cutler has been dealt.

  • RHINO

Fox sports reported that Jay blocked a trade with the Browns because Mangini didn’t mesh well with Farve and Buss. It goes on to say that the Broncos may very well still covet Quinn.

  • milehighs

Quinn is not a good qb.he has no arm strainth or mobilityor accrate passer.i hope we dont get him i hope we get josh freeman in the draft.

  • http://www.broncotalk.net Josh Temple

Rhino, do you have a link for that?

  • kerry

wow. you know i get sick of hearing how everyone thinks we just HAVE TO HAVE another QB in the first round or by trading a first round pick for one. where in the Cutler trade did it specify we had to use a first round pick on a QB this year? i sure as hell didnt read it anywhere. Orton and Simms with a late Rond QB will be fine for this year. we arent gonna be contending with any QB at the helm. so we build the defense this year and next year if Orton and simms fail, we can draft McCoy, Bradford or Tebow with one of our first round picks.

  • kerry

here is something else. why in the holy hell would McDaniels draft Josh Freemen?? we just got rid of a strong armed mobile QB. why the hell would he draft another one?!?

  • SivNiz

cause jay cuttner is bomb and jush mcdanny is not bomb.

  • RHINO

    Josh,

    yawn.
Let’s see if Josh can coach a qb.
    We must draft Defense!!

  • milehighs

mc daniels didnt want to get rid of jay.but jay was stuck on mike shanahan.so he got rid of jay or tried to.so josh freeman is are draft choice first roud pick and toney schefler for trade up to get josh free man.you wait and see josh freeman will be a bronco.

  • http://myspace.com/paraleipsis jchase8410

That KSK rant article was hilarious!! The best line was definately about how the coach, “walked in there like he was Dick McHugeballs”
I laughed the whole time I was reading it. The analogy of the divorce was histerically funny, and well thought out.

  • roshon2411

I like the idea of picking Wells or Moreno, especially if we could trade down from the 18th pick and still pick one of them up and add picks. If not I really like Rashad Jennings from Liberty in the later rounds. The guy’s a beast 6’1″, 232. The only position I don’t see a decent prospect for is Safety. I think they’ll have to fill that spot next year. Unless the use a late pick on Myron Rolle. I know he’s not playing this year but with Dawkins here for a couple years might be worth the risk.

  • milehighs

denver broncos may as well give all thier draft picks.theclose down for the next 15 years.or get the hell out of colorado.their are an emberrisment to the state.bunch of idiots and power tripers.may jay cutler be the best qb ever and make the broncos drawnd in thier own stupidity.jay cutler wins five to six superbowls and rubb it in the owner pat bowlen face intil its raw.fire idiot mc daneils fire the 32 year old power triper.he was payed by the patriots to sabatoj the broncos.pat bowlen idiot.not the best owner in sports the worst ever.

  • roshon2411

Well for those of you hoping for Jack Elway to be the next great QB in Denver, looks like thats not going to happen…

    Geez Kerry,

Just the other day you were saying a heisman doesn’t mean shit, but then today you post that Denver wait to draft a QB next year in either Bradford, McCoy, or Tebow. What gives? I don’t think Bradford or Tebow will make it in the NFL. However, I do like McCoy. He reminds me a lot of Matt Ryan with the poise they both have/had in college. But I’m still on the fence with how Ryan’s career is going to go. Seen to many one year wonders to pass judgement yet.

  • Tom9798

    JChase . . . . I agree . . . I was laughing so hard I had to look down to breathe! . . . . to all . . . read the fan angst . . . . after all the drama . . . it felt good to spin 180 . . . . T

  • kerry

hey Walton, what the hell are you talking about? i know damn well what i said. if you can actually read i said the heisman doesnt mean shit when going into the NFL. i didnt say because a player has a Heisman trophy then we shouldnt check him out. and never once did i bring up the Heisman trophies owned by Tebow and Bradford. i dont use the Heisman as a backdoor excuse to say a player is good. i said Tebow, Bradford and McCoy because they will be the best 3 QB’s next year in the draft, NOT because two of them have a Heisman trophy. Bradford and MCCoy have excellent talent and Tebow could be good of he gets more refined in his passing game. but lets all remember that YOU Brought up the Heisman trophy in this conversation. not me. i said those three based on talent, not based on a Heisman trophy. i detest the Heisman trophy when someone uses it to say that this player is gonna be so great. i say Bradford is damn good with his accuracy and arm strength, McCoy has great mobility and touch on his passes, Tebow is very mobile but needs to refine his passing game. oh and just because they have Heismans doesnt mean i think they arent worth a shit. i said the Heisman doesnt mean shit when evaluating talent. the last guy said “Oh Troy Smith has a Heisman Trophy” like that justifies his exsistance in this league. it doesnt. so dont twist my words to suit your purpose. i know what i said and so does anyone else that is knowledgeable.

  • roshon2411

Hey Kerry, I was the last guy. And I didn’t say the Broncos should look to acquire Troy Smith because he won the heisman. I said that I would rather see him than Quinn, and that he out performed Quinn. I never once said anything about the heisman. Then you criticize my idea stating he was a run first QB. Well what is Tebow? He might not be a QB in the NFL probably an H-Back and he sure won’t be one of the top three QB’s in next years draft, I can guarantee that. Jimmy Clausen, Jevan Snead will most likely go pro, and they will for sure go ahead of Tebow.

Hey Walton, don’t mind Kerry. He tell’s you not to twist his words to suit your purpose, but he quotes me as saying oh “Troy Smith has a heisman” but if you go back and look I never mentioned him having a heisman he did. So clearly Kerry, you’re the way twisting words to suit your purpose.

  • walton

    roshon2411,

Yeah I know, I saw that kerry said he didn’t like Smith because he was a run first QB and couldn’t play in the NFL. Well I live in Michigan and watched him torch my Wolverines for 3 years, and not with his legs but with his arm. So I know he can play. Tebow is defnitely a run first QB, that wins games in college but not in the pros. And that jump pass will not fly either. I like Quinn and Smith, but as a wolverine homer I would like to see them bring in Drew Henson. He hasn’t done much in the pros but was better than Tom Brady in college and if McDaniels can make a QB who didn’t play college and make him respectable in the pros, why not Henson? I don’t think they will stick with Orton or Simms. Neither one has a strong arm and Brady and Cassel could wing it.

  • jcampb72

I bet we pick a 6′ 5 QB either Freeman or Brandstater out of Fresno state. Going back to Mcdaniels likes em big, Josh also likes em tall.

  • jcampb72

Milehighs are you illiterate or from a different planet?

  • http://myspace.com/paraleipsis jchase8410

I’m going to say that I am on Kerry’s side in this argument. He didn’t bring up the Heisman at all in his comment…I Think Tebow is underrated in his throwing ability. He is the ultimate competitor, and I think he will surprise a pt of people this year. I am saying all this, and I can’t stand the guy. Also, to say Sam Bradford won’t make it in the NFL is hilarious. He is the best Pure passer in college football today. He will probably translate his talent to NFL play better than McCoy (whom I love) and Tebow.

  • http://myspace.com/paraleipsis jchase8410

Sweet! I just watched total access, and they said that the Broncos had a private workout with Pat White. It was reported that they worked him out strictly as a QB…I would be stoked, although I know Kerry has some issues with that. This is another guy who is HIGHLY underrated when it comes to passing ability.

  • buckeyebronc

I do like Pat White, watched they bowl game against North Carolina and was very impressed. Heard he was a potential 2nd rounder. Do you think thats too high? I’d say if they can grab him in the 3rd, 4th go for it. I’m with Roshon and Walton, I went to school during the Troy Smith era at OSU, and he was never a run first QB, Pat White reminds me a little of Smith. They both have big arms but because they’re both not the “prototype size” for a QB they’re very underrated.

  • broncoNM

The 2nd rd is too high for pat white….Tebow will SUCK in the pros. He has a slow release and his techniques are horrible. I hate tebow so i might be bias but i dont see him translating to the NFL. He is an amazing College QB but i dont see the system in FL helping his chances as making it in the pros. I would choose bradford over mccoy but im not completely sold on either of them. I do think that next yr will have a better pool of QBs. I have nothing to back that up but it seems that all the QB’s this year are full of question marks on some aspect of their game. Im not buying the hype on sanchez and stafford… It seems like the media usually does this kind of stuff around draft time. As most have posted i hope McD drafts a QB late (if at all) and uses him as a project/future investment. Is troy smith Ok? last i heard of him he had a stomach parasite or something and he lost 30lbs.

  • NathanH

Pat White is a joke and could not survive in a pass heavy o like McD runs. I wish you guys would be realistic. We don’t need an overrated college guy. Orton won a championship in college, he was as good as all these guys you’re mentioning.

  • Stav

Pat White is just brittle looking. No way we should go after him, and I don;t care if I’m wrong about this but there’s no way he goes in the 2nd round. 3rd? Maybe. He sure as hell shouldn’t shouldn’t be a Bronco after the draft ends. We need to give Orton a shot, and we sure as hell have too many needs on defense to be giving up any picks in the 1st three rounds in order to move up to grab a QB. Our 1st three picks have to be can’t miss defensive talent, aka 2009 starters, preferably: DLine – LB – DLine. The fourth needs to be atleast someone who can challenge/push a defensive starter for their spot (safety?). We worry so much about the offense, but what can a good defense do? Stop the run, keep a team from scoring, create turnovers, possibly score, create three-and-outs, efforts which provide good field position that can assist the offense in putting points on the board. Build from the defensive center out, the line, lbs, as I said before, maybe a young kid at safety. They want to go offense? Fine, just make it after the first four picks. Let’s stop opposing offenses, and see if McD can do what he’s supposed to do with our offense.

  • Stav

Forget about Raji being available at #12, just read a NFL report clearing him of the positive marijuana test. If he drops, he won’t get past Green Bay.

  • buckeyebronc

Defense is the number one priority, but they can’t completely forget about the offense, besides just drafting guys like Raiji and/or Tyson Jackson is not going to make this defense a good defense. Remember they drafted Jarvis Moss, Crowder, and Thomas a couple years ago and they didn’t improve the defense at all. I hope its defense but it’s not a given that if they do draft defense, they’ll be able to stop anyone.

  • http://myspace.com/paraleipsis jchase8410

I wanted to take Pat White in the 4th round to be a 4th reciever and return kicks, and be an emergency QB. They could fill 2 needs. It would also take some pressure off of Eddie.on ST

  • kerry

Pat white is a joke. anyone remember the WVU game against the Buffs last year? all White did was run run run. Pat White is Mike Vick without the dog killing. if there is ANY late round QB to look at its Rhett Bomar or John Parker Wilson. and besides Mike Florio loves Pat White so i dont like him even more. lol.

  • Stav

Don’t bother with QB this year, not even a late, LATE round pick. I have a feeling Orton is going to surprise us based on what he has to work with now, nothing crazy like a probowl year, but a solid line: 20-23tds, 10-14 ints, 3200 – 3500yds.
The QB value is in next year’s draft, a whole bunch of guys will be declaring and whether we need a Qb early or late, we’ll have some picks to play around with in case we need to move up and grab someone. And honestly, this is all based on how Orton’s does this year. Defense, defense, defense, that’s what the 2009 draft is about for us. If we go offense with any of the first four picks I’ll be disappointed. If they went WR with the fifth pick I’d be ok with that. There will be value there for the position, and we need some security based on Marshall’s inability to stay out of trouble off the field, and Stokely will have to go soon as the #4 since he’s only getting older. That might wake Marshall up to the stupidity of his behavior.

  • robtink242

i don’t get it why cant Stokely be a next Wes Welker along with Tony Scheffler being the next Ben Watson . It doesn’t make sens. I have have all confidence in Josh McDaneil QB grooming skills get Josh Freeman with 18, Tyson Jackson at 12, Ron Brace in the 2nd, along with a solid LB’s with our third rounds. and lets just move forward.

  • http://myspace.com/paraleipsis jchase8410

I agree with that stav, which is why I said to draft Pat White as a slot receiver. He would fill a need on offense, and be a decent option as a THIRD QB.
