Lions Still Open to Cutler for Top Pick

I just dont see detroit creating a trade package that would interest denver. This is a horrible draft to have the 1st overall pick because there is no clear #1. No one wants it. Detroit would have to find a 3rd team to get in the mix that could offer a QB. A 3 team trade takes time and denver isnt even listening to offers right now. The draft is quickly approaching and detroit would have to workout a lot of variables before april 25th. I would say the odds are stacked up against detroit on aquiring Cutler. There are alot of teams interested in him but most will just be ‘kicking the tires’. There are only a few teams that could offer a QB and they would still have to give up reportedly 2 first rd picks as well… I would say right now the odds are 75/25 that Cutler stays in denver. There is still a chance that a team like the skins or browns just throws out an offer that the broncos cant refuse…But the longer this goes on the more i think jay is staying in denver. McD has broken the silence so hopefully this is the beginning of the end.

I heard Cutler’s price would be a good player and a first this year AND next. The Lions have 2 firsts this season so they kinda make sense for us as we don’t have to wait til next year to add another 1st. If the Lions were to give say- The 1st overall, the 2oth overall, and their 3rd, for Cutler and Tony Scheffler.

We take Stafford or Sanchez 1st(whomever we truly feel is better, not who ESPN tells us is).

At 12 we go Raji/Jackson/Maybin/Mathews/Cushing in that order.

At 20, hopefully 1 of them is left, if not, then we take a look at Moreno(take pressure off the rookie QB- even though any one that recognizes my posts knows I HATE the idea of going RB, though if we had 3 firsts and no Cutler, things change a little). If he’s gone then back to D and maybe Vontae Davis, Malcolm Jenkins or Rey Maualuga there.

i cant stand Mike Florio. he is a Broncohater through and through. im not quite sure who he likes but all indications in his articles point to him being either a Jets or Giants fan. go figure. him and Mike Klis over at the Denver Post are the worst sports reporters in history. Klis wrote a fluff piece today about Cutler staying when he was the same moron who stood in front of Dove Valley, looking ever so much the drunken vagrant that he is, and sternly stated Cutler WILL be traded on draft day. now today he states Cutler isnt going anywhere and that him and McDaniels are “working things out” what a hypocrit. Klis is the same guy who whined when we didnt draft Jonathan Stewart but instead Ryan Clady. all clady did was give up a half a sack and had one or two penalties called on him the whole year.

Guys,Denver does not want the #1 pick, period. Who wants to pay $30 million to a unproven player.
And as of today from McDaniels, “we are not trading our QB”.
Also, if you want quality reporting from the Denver Post just look at who wrote the articcle. If it is NOT Lindsay Jones then just skip it.

Denver Post is reporting that Jay and McDaniels are communicating by text messages and by phone on tuesday night, and Cutler has agreed to have a one-on-one meeting with McDaniel’s sometime soon.

I don’t know what the big deal is. Culter and Josh seem to be on the same page or at the very least in the same chapter… McD has ONE more shot at patching this up and Bus can NOT be there. at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He’ll F this up faster than anyone else.

I’m saddened by this whole thing, going back to dropping Shanny. Shanny was a stud, a staple of this team. He didn’t need to go, just not so many responsibilities. The defense was the problem. So, shanny gets wacked, pisses Cutler off. Then Pat B. hires a child to replace Shanny, problem #2. Then, the child had a love affair with Brady’s back up that he coached last year. Come on…Cassell couldn’t carry Cutler’s jock strap, most people know this, and it pissed Cutler off. I grew up a Broncos fan, and have always pulled for them. Probably not anymore. No Shanny, hopefully, No Cutler, not really much reason to anymore.

In closing…Pat B. is your problem, should’ve never brought in a child to replace one of the NFL’s top 3 coaches. He gets what he deserves! Go Cutler…away from Denver, to somewhere your God given talent is respected!!!

I realize you’re upset with the situation, but it has to run it’s course. There really isn’t any reason to be calling people out of their names. I simple “inexperienced” or “immature” works great. My parents had an old saying: if you don’t want to be called something-then don’t call someone else something. You may not like the actions- but their still adults and they haven’t done anything to you personally.
