“The first four guys were terrific, the next three will be terrific. It is truly fun to listen to these guys and see their passion and their knowledge come forth. What a great process. We are going to have a tough decision.”

– An unspecified member of the Denver Broncos Head Coach selection process, per Adam Schefter of NFL.com

What? Football? Fun? If I’m here chewing my fingernails to the bone and watching my heart condition degrade, there will be absolutely no fun in this Head Coach search. I won’t allow it. Zero fun.

Anybody hear that Mangini is the guy in Cleveland? ESPN just broke the news. well that’s one guy i had zero interest in, glad to see at least one spot filled with no one we wanted.

I like the Morris connection with Bates. If they have a good relationship already and he is a D guy, with Bates being an O guy, maybe there is something to build on there. I know that there is a serious lack of HC or Co Ord experience but with Goodman and Xanders in the office and perhaps the old # 7 gracing the Dove valley halls again…. At least their might be something that has been lacking on the field at least… passion and heart…..

    just my 2 cents..

    might be ok..

So the NFL Network just showed a clip of Jason Garret standing outside the Denver facility and it seemed like all he could talk about was the Dolphins, I don’t know if he forgot where he was, but that little clip just put him out in my book (not that i ever liked him to begin with).

Lets see based on the fact of how young our Offense was, the injuries at RB and how weak our D was I would give Bates a low A as our OC last season. I don’t see the superhero OC that others are seeing. Don’t get me wrong I will be the first to say how bad our D was but it seemed like quite a few games against some not so hot Defenses that we had like 10 points at the half.

Then look at the final scores our Off put up in some of the games:
    at KC 19
    TB 16
    Jax 17
    NE 7
    Mia 17
    Oak 10 in Denver
    Car 10
    Buf 23
    SD 21

Thats 7 games with under 20 points, 9 low scoring games if you consider there were late scores in the Buff and SD game. Our offense has a very bright future with the youth and talent it has and Bates looks to be a pretty good OCord but I don’t see anything super special there about Bates as a coach and just one year under his belt with about half the games scoring less than 20 points. Oh and don’t get me started about the freaken 500 failed WR screens that we just kept trying over and over with no success in the last 4 games what was up with that play calling. Just to stir the pot.

Right on Boisebroncoguy…create a caption is fun…even though I didn’t win with my, “you are that super hot blonde up there? I totally nailed the fat chick next to her”

I thought for sure that one was golden…still fun though

Did you guys know that 9 out of the last 10 Superbowl winning coaches won it on their SECOND HEAD COACHING job, I don’t know, i have been pretty big on these coordinators coming in, but with that in mind, maybe we should be looking more at some of the other options out there.

  • MikeY55

so i guess that puts mangini and the browns in the superbowl bucky haha no i’m just kidding i agree i wouldn’t mind seeing another ex head coach with some seriouse pedigree but at the same time i like the fire the young guys bring to teams.. sometimes u see older guys come in and they just look like they don’t enjoy it at all..

keep waiting nation..no one thats in the playoffs or bcs (stoops) will agree until they have lost out or clinched a championship.
