SDThe San Diego Chargers, trailing the Broncos by one in the AFC West division race, are in jolly ol’ England to face the New Orleans Saints. Both teams are banged up – the Saints are without Reggie Bush, while the Chargers have been missing guys all season long. As always, cheering for San Diego’s opponent is a must, so feel free to give a shout out to the Saints for good luck across the pond.

PITThe afternoon games are highlighted by a battle of 5-2 juggernauts – the New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers. Naturally we’re cheering for the G-Men in hopes to pull this AFC race a bit closer.

The Series of the World’s Game 4 is subbing for the evening game. No football tonight… Go Saints! Go Broncos!

live from wembley this is england calling! No tea and crumpets just over priced burgers. Gotta pay off the multi million pound debt the stadium is in.

Quick game summary, looks like a shoot out. Neither defense looks like it could stop me.

Now on to the important bits. It appears that england shares jay’s view of rivers. He’s been getting boo-ed every time he does anything.

As you’d expect chargers and saints jerseys are most popular. But the broncos are in the next most popular group, with the fins, cowboys and surprisingly the eagles. There was even an impromptu bronco fan photo outside the ground when 4 groups of us just happened to be passing each other.

Why does NBC agree to take a week off for the World Series on Fox? It makes no sense to me. It also assumes that all football fans are baseball fans, and if there is no football on I will automatically watch baseball. Dumb move NBC.

Saints WIN 37-32. Man the Chargers suck. This is great for Denver!!!

  • bcfunk

Great loss for da bolts! How people can still say they’re the team to beat in the west is beyond me. Broncos need to get healthy and pull away in this division. Next week’s game just got a whole lot bigger!

  • J

Great week for the Broncos and we didn’t even play :P. All 3 AFC West teams lost we need to do our job next week and kill Miami!

  • merc22

YES!!!!!!!!!! they lost 1.5 games ahead the chargers and chiefs, raiders lost too!!! today is awesome

Rivers is just as bad in person as he is on the TV. He was petulent and childish every time he got a call against him. Good game in the end and a great restult for the Broncos. The charger’s defense sucks – big time.

Some quick and pointless stats -after the London game the teams are 0-2 after their bye however good news for the Saints – the winner of the game ALWAYS wins the Superbowl.

The Giants just won, too. Its been a good day as for as afc teams losing.

Miami took it to Buffalo… the Browns held off Jacksonville… we’ve got quite a challenge up ahead. Preseason “should win” games don’t look so easy anymore.

All in all, a great day for Broncos fans though!

Anyone think Norv will get the midseason ax? Only one 3-5 team has made the playoffs in the past 11 years.

I just want to say that the Chargers are putting this devision on a pedestal for Denver. We need to take this give and run away with it. We have a golden opportunity to put a few games between us and the chargers.

  • http://broncotalk.net Kyle

Totally true, T-Money. The Chargers are choking… it’s time to go for the kill.

An AFC win would be nice as well. The Broncos have a dismal 2-3 conference record.

The game next week is CRUCIAL to say the least. This team is too strong to let this one get away from us. I just hope Jay and the broncos forget all of what happened last monday. We are 4-3, the chargers are 3-5. That’s all that matters right now. We need to capitalize on our chances. GO BRONCOS!
and go saints! thank you for taking care of Philip and co.

If we have ALL of our weapons back on offense, there is no reason why we cant get back to putting up the same points as we did in the first three games. If we get Stokely, Scheffler, Young (even though Pittman is the man), Torain (we’ll get to see what he can do), and get Jay’s finger taken care of, there is no reason why we cant put up 40 against Miami. Scheffler is Jay’s second favorite target. So when he is gone, thats huge. Stokely is a great slot reciever and we definitly need him back healthy, to help us out on the third down and so. Than when it comes to Young, Pittman will still be the starter, but when he needs a breather, we can send Young and Torain in, instead of Hall, who caughs up the ball every time its in his hands. And Jay’s finger should be fine. We will be back to woopin’ ass in no time, as far as offensively. Defensivley, I say we just try shit out that we never have before. For example, send every LB on a blitz. Why the hell not? It cant get any worse. But we will see our dominance on offense again against Miami. Everyone better be watchin’ out now, we are still a serious threat, when healthy.

This game against Miami is so crucial IMO. This is a must win game not only for the team but the fans. We really should have at least a three game lead on the Chuggers. The offense must score tons of points b/c our defense is so bad right now. We don’t play well from behind and must set a tempo.

  • BroncoFan18

The Chargers are practically handing the division to us! We’ve got to take advantage of this! We all know the Chargers will make a run the second half of the season, so we need to get ahead while we can. The Miami game is huge for us.

Imagin this we get good blocking and our backs penetrate the other sides secondary then get additional blocks to make some yardage. Imagin this Mr Bly or another bronco intercepts the ball and does more than just chase the opposing receiver after they catch the ball. How about Jay completes some passes by not focusing on his intended receiver . Maybe it just appears that he does that but, if I see that then every LB has the same idea of who he is throwing to.
