Marshall and Cutler vs. Cowboys

If Brandon Marshall gets his way, he’ll remain a member of the Denver Broncos for the rest of his career. Marshall told reporters on Thursday that Denver is a perfect fit for the third-year wide receiver, now and in the future.

“This is where I want to end my career. I want to play for Coach (Mike) Shanahan and the Denver Broncos throughout my career. I’m happy where I’m at.”

By all accounts, Marshall’s already taken the steps to get his off-field act straightened out. Allow me to lead the collective Broncos Nation in a hearty “Hell yes” to 10+ more years of Marshall highlights. Go and buy your #15 jerseys now, folks – Marshall is here to stay.

As a poor sucker who bought a Clinton Portis jersey, I will happily hang on to my Marshall, Cutler, and Champ jerseys for many years to come!

Honestly………this completely made my day. And whenever anything bad happens to me, or I’m down in the dumps, I usually think about Cutler and Marshall and I’m just gushing and dimpling and OH MAN (no homo)

so I guess the theme here is……….BRANDON MARSHALL IS THE F***ING ***** and soon to be #1 WR in the lig!!!

lets hope he remembers that sentiment when it comes time for resigning him after his rookie deal. he’s also not the only one with a stake in the game- we cant forget the agent involved. hopefully he hangs up the phone when rosenhaus calls him….

i’d love nothing more than to have him a bronco forever. if we can hold on to him, cutler, clady and some of the younger kiddies, we’ll be set on the offensive side of the ball for the next decade. good times.

Nice thought, but we’re not seriously this naive, are we?

  • jvill

Would be nice. 50/50 chance it actually happens?

The only thing naive about it is the chances that he stays clean. I’d say that’s at 60/40 right now.

Shanahan isn’t going to just let talent like this go. Marshall is seriously one of the most talented Broncos in franchise history. Contract status and everything will play a factor down the line, but Cutler loves him too, which counts for something.

If that makes me naive, then so be it. If he can handle public criticism from his QB and still want to stay, the foundation is set for a long career in Denver.

the cynical side in me says this is step one in him holding out for a new contract. First you make them think you’re not going anywhere then you say you’re not sure the team management share that view – then hey presto a big fat contract lands in your agents pocket.

Although here’s hoping its an honest statement from a man who knows what’s best for him.

I think we will keep Marshal for at least another 8 to 10 years. We all know he is the real deal so that’s not a question. Him and Cutler were drafted the same year and there is that chemistry that will be around with these guys for years. With this new YOUNG offense you know Shanahan will be around for a while and the Broncos will let Shanahan do what he wants and we all know he won’t let talent like that go. With Cutler as Quaterback Marshal is the key to a super bowl. As people can tell Denver is no longer remembered for all those no name 1,000 backs we produced so Shanahan is relying on offense. I truly believe the Broncos will have the most dominant offense in no more then 2 years and Marshal plays a major part in that. Also you know owner Pat Bowlen will have no problems offering Marshal a nice hefty contract. He’s what we need in a receiver so I believe he will be a Bronco for a long time.

  • kerry

what he is really saying is “hey i want a long term, big money contract”

  • OC Bronco

He DESERVES a big money long term contract. And yes that is what he is saying….

  • GoBears

Not anymore hes leaving now. The Broncos are Fucking idiots. Go Josh Mcdaniels
