DEN @ ARI
Broncos @ Cardinals
Preseason Week 4
Fri, Aug 29, 2008 7PM MST LIVE

In their final tune-up before the regular season, the Denver Broncos (1-2) close out the 2008 preseason on the road against the Arizona Cardinals (2-1) on Friday. Kickoff at University of Phoenix Stadium is set for 7 p.m. MST, and the game will be televised locally on KCNC-TV (CBS 4). Live coverage is also provided by the NFL Network. KOA 850 AM will provide radio coverage, which can also be heard on Sirius Channel 125.

The Broncos will end their preseason against the Cardinals for the fifth consecutive year and travel to Arizona after losing 27-24 at home to Green Bay in their most recent action on Aug. 22. With the starters riding the bench, expect a super-sized helping of Darrell Hackney tonight. #2 QB Patrick Ramsey isn’t expected to play unless needed after suffering an injury against Green Bay in Week 3.

Denver faces a Cardinals squad that posted a 24-0 victory at Oakland in its last game on Aug. 23. Arizona, which has won its last two games, held the Raiders to 2.9 yards per play (56-165) in earning the shutout win.

That was a nice punt by Paulescu.

Matt Leinart is looking good, i hate it!

It looks like it is just me in here, anyways Alridge has been great, i think 5 yards a carry. Hackney has been pretty good i think. And that was a great play just a few seconds ago by Jarvis Moss.

I want to know if anyone has a problemwith the NFL network’s coverage of the Bronco-Cardinals game. The clips that I saw only talked abut how well Leinart did. Did anyone notice that he had a first team offense playing our second string defense. Of course his numbers are going to be better. Not only that, but our second team beat them by 10 points. All this talk about Leinart is making me sick. Not one mention of Jay and how well he has done this off season.

Well, Jay didn’t play that game, so I’m not surprised he wasn’t talked about. Actually, I’m happy about it. If they did talk about him it’d almost be like the whole Brett Favre thing, where they talk about him even when he’s not relevant.

Leinart was the big story because he just came off that 4-12 game against the Raiders and looked miserable. And he still made a couple of very poor decisions out there, so I don’t think this game said much about him.

But Leinart NOT being a fantastic full time quarterback just now is a pretty big story. That draft class was something special, and it may end up being Leinart who was the weakest of the 3. Though personally I still think it’ll ultimately be Vinnie.
