Bailey, Green Injured in Preseason Opener

The first defensive series for the Broncos saw their strong side linebackers get carted off the field within moments of one another. First, Boss Bailey was carted out with what is being called a sprained ankle. No word how serious the sprain is, but the early impression is that it’s nothing too serious.

His replacement at strong side, however, Louis Green, is facing a much more serious situation as he was rushed to the hospital via ambulance. The Broncos believe he suffered a concussion when he injured his neck and head area in a mid-air collision with weak side linebacker D.J. Williams. He gave the crowd a “thumbs up,” relieving worried fans who might have been thinking paralysis.

Thoughts and prayers to Green and his family. Let’s hope no one else gets hurt in a meaningless preseason game. SCORE: 7-6 Denver, 11 minutes left in the 2nd quarter.

    Kyle, I live in SD, and I’ve been looking for a good streaming site for the Broncos games. For some reason all the show are the stupid Chargers here. Do you know if this “Justintv” site streams all of Denver’s games? BTW, thanks for the link.

    Sam – I’m honestly not sure. It was a real help for me, too. I was able to watch most of the first three quarters.

    Man, what a game. Sounds like Green is going be okay, but no word on Bailey yet. :/

    We were sloppy, but not as bad as last year. But not as good as we need to be. Very uneven. I hope there’s some improvement in the next couple games.

    Ah Justin.tv. I believe I referred to that as “less legal means” of watching the game. There’s a bunch of stuff out there that does similar things. As an aside, Justin.tv is actually the best place for Cricket too.

    Wouldn’t want to go naming names of other things you can use because I wouldn’t want Kyle et al to get into any trouble but a simple google search should turn up a few options.

    well i hope that baily is ok!…i really wont to know if FS john lynch is going to come back this season,i think hes a great player and he has what he needs to still play a pro bowl safety..send me an e-mail once you find out. thank you for your time
