    I amd a lifelong Bears Fan. I must say to all you Broncos fans, even now, I am envious of Road Smith NOT being a Chicago Bear. A fantastic athlete, a great teammate, an honorable man, and yet another testament to Pat Bowen and they way he runs that franchise. Rod Smith was possibly THE standard in unselfishness, especially for the position that he played. In his farewell speech, he stated that he GREW UP in Denver. Powerful Statement. I hope and pray that Brandon MArshall, another fine wide receiver, reaches back and if he doesnt consult with him directly, then please look at the blueprint this man had laid out. Rod Smith was in the media for one reason and one reason only…being a fine football player. The city of Denver and anyone who has ever watched professional football over the last 13 years have been blessed to watch hm perform. I know I have. Yet again, another great job by Pat Bowen.
