Place your bets, everybody. The point spread for the Denver Broncos‘ week one skirmish at the Oakland Raiders on Monday Night Football is set, with the Broncos as a one-point favorite.

In general, home teams are given a 3 point advantage, meaning on a neutral field the Broncos would be a 4-point favorite. Note that this is a very early spread and will almost certainly change as the season approaches.

It just confirms that this game is going to be intense, what with all the smack talk taking place – on both sides – as we get ready to kick off the 2008 season.

Let me see. First year Faider Quaterback, return to the Show Blitz system. Hmm. Broncos improved O line, better WRs, RBs that can do the job. Hmm. A real returner in E. Royal. Hmm. A one point spread. Hmm.

Yahoo sports is talking about Philip Rivers, Again! Can we get John Lynch to wack out his shoulder, then have then Botls ship him 2 the Saints.

  • Aerobroncos

hahaha Jon your not referring to our old friend Mr. Brees are you?

  • Merch

is it just me or does rivers actually suck?

  • Al Davis

You guys make me sick with your yak, yak. Nicko is going to do this, Lynch is going to do that, RB’s that can get the job done, a real returner in royal (who)? improved o line huh? Do you all live in a log cabin above the snow line ? Is the altitude messing your brains. No reality here! Jon, were you dropped on your head as a baby too many time? I think so and Lynch might not make the team before he starts collecting SSI. Happy fathers day

  • Rick

  • Rick

    Merch, its just you!

  • Rick

Richard, Royal is already a real returner? he hasn’t touch a ball yet. Improved O-line with a rookei? RB’s that can do the job? Who. Such blind optimisum is refreshing. Still can’t stop the run!

  • Merch

u cant make any predictions yet, maybe the chargers will suck this year an go 9-7

  • http://broncotalk.net Jon

gosh guys what is your problem, whould u be happier if i said the Bolts r gonna kill the devison, the Raiders will run all over us, and we’ll be lucky if we can beat the Chiefs for third in the West!?
u gotta have faith in your team, Lynch will rock this year, what wrong with u guys!
Kyle, u don’t think like them do u

  • Richard

Hey Rick. Blind optimism, what a concept. The faiders will need to have a running game before it will need to be stopped. Please don’t give me any manure about D. McFarten running wild, he has the same level of experience as E. Royal. Improved Oline with the return of Hamilton and Nalen, a years exp in the system for Kuper, Holland, and Harris. Clady will be an improvement over Lepsis’s last season. Selvin Young rushed for a 5.1 yards/per as a rookie, so that avg is more than acceptable. A 7-9 season for the silver and bleak is blind optimism.

  • Rick

As I remember Richard or is it Dick, The Faiders waltzed all over your run defense last year, I guess the pain of that was easily forgotton, kinda like child birth. Let me remind you. You rushed for an average 122.3 yards per game. Your defense gave up 142.6 average. So how did you improve your rush defense. The faders rushed for an average 130.4 yards per game and gave up 145.9. Oakland had a 1000 yard back in Fargus who only played 14 games.
Oakland out rushed both the bronco’s and Bolts last year. Denver did not have a 1000 yard back last year.

    Geez this is getting old.

We got rid of Jim Bates. That’s a fix in the defense right there.
