Madden ’09 is set to drop in a few months, but in the meantime we’ve found a few screencaps showing Denver Broncos player ratings. The team overall has a score of an 84 – good for 17th in the league. Our AFC West foe San Diego Chargers have a 95 (third in the league), while Oakland and Kansas City both score a 71 (29th-30th).

Below are the Broncos individual player ratings. Zoom in by clicking on the images.

Who’s ranked too low? Who’s ranked too high? Let us know in the comments.

Thanks to Pasta Padre for the pics and ratings.

Good grief! Cutler was a 92 last year. What the hell did he do to cost him 6 points?! He was a top 10 quarterback in the league. Bastards.

Was he really? That’s ridiculous to drop him.

Kouts is way too low (74), but I understand the rating seeing as he’s never played.

Don’t have a ton of money – I get a new Madden every other year – this is that year, so looking forward to it.

Selvin Young is a 99 as a 3rd down back but an 83 for downs 1 and 2?

Lynch at 92 is miles too high. Champ at 97 is 2 too low. Hamza and Montrae Holland are too low. I hope Niko is too low.

Champ 97? There better not be a 99 CB! It’s also a little upsetting that a 12th overall pick is rated below 80. Madden 08 didn’t improve much after a player’s 3rd year and it’s not enough time to grow him up.

Cutler was only rated in the mid 80’s on the xBox 360 version of the game. Though I like the 92 much better.

Honestly I’m more curious about the “weapons” the bronco’s have…

Elvis Dumervil shoule be at least 93, and Cutler is kinda low, and that is TOTALLY not what the depth chart is gonna look like, for one thing Travis is r starting back! and by the way *hercules* Lynch should be 99! and i hope Niko is also higher

Where’s Ekuban? And how many other people will swap Fox and Bly immediately? I’m with Herc – I hope Niko is more mid to late 80s. I’m surprised Holland is as low as Pears.

I got my madden last year because I wanted henry as a running back. no problem with commitment when he’s pixels.

Montrae Holland really stood out to me. Way, way too low. Severely underrated. Should be a 90.

Boo for Clady being a 79, I’m going to have to put that boy through offensive line drills during the pre-season. I can’t have Cutler getting killed on the blind side. Glad to see some love for Marshall though. If this is the final numbers I’m plugging Wiegmann in as my starting RG.

Did anybody go pick up Niko in the 2008 game? He was rated at something like a 68….

What exactly is the difference in rating for a 3DRB as opposed to a normal RB?

I can’t believe they did not change Cutlers rating! But I am simply disgusted at Clady’s rating. There must be a lot of Raiders fans down at the Madden Studios.

  • vince

Really cutler throw for more td’s and less int than vince young and he’s only a 86, and how the team with a historic running game every yr has a mid level oline, and selvin young should be atleast a 87 since travis henry is no longer with the team

  • ..

why the hell is selvin an 83 and behind travis henry ?!?!
    and cutler only a 86?!?!?!!!

i like champ bailey but he wasnt as good as a 97 last year
