All that was left for the Denver Broncos’ schedule was locking in the 2nd place finishers in the AFC South and North. These went to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Cleveland Browns respectively, and now we have the opponents below:

HOME AWAY
Buffalo
Miami
New Orleans
Tampa Bay
Jacksonville
Kansas City
Oakland
San Diego
New England
New York Jets
Atlanta
Carolina
Cleveland
Kansas City
Oakland
San Diego

Um… this could be the easiest schedule of opponents Denver has seen in years!

Buffalo (7-9) at home should be cake.
Miami… (1-15) CU would put up a better fight.
New Orleans (7-9) we can handle.
Tampa* (9-7) made the playoffs, but Mike owns Gruden.
    Atlanta… (4-12) again, simple enough.
Cleveland (10-6) has made improvements, but we should be ok.
Carolina (7-9) & Jacksonville* (11-5) could both be tough, but managible.
NYJ (4-12) I like our odds.
NE* (16-0)is rough, but Mike seems to have Bill’s number.
That leaves our AFC West Friends.
    KC (4-12)
    OAK (4-12)
    SD* (11-5)

    * = Playoff teams in 2007.

That means we will only face four playoff teams next year. And the non-payoff teams we’ll face in 2008 were a total of 48-96 this year.

I’ll take Denver in the playoffs next year, thank you very much.

YIKES! I don’t know how ANYBODY could say that’s an easy schedule unless they’re watching games from the superbowl era.
Buffalo is an up-n-coming team. NOT a gimme. Lynch ate denver’s lunch.
Cleveland’s offense is scary good. And with another year under his belt, their qb could be even better. All they need is a defense, and look out!
Miami will be improved. The Tuna will make sure of that. Sure would hate for their 1win next season to be against denver.
Carolina isn’t very good, but who knows about next year.
Tampa? Tough D and who knows, maybe Jake will be leading them next year to the playoffs.
N’Orleans had a bad year. Don’t think Brees & co. won’t be ready to put some points up next year. Give them a defense, and lookout.
The jets will be better than this year. Injuries hurt them, and they gave NE all they could ask for the 2nd time around. Plus, they could have Ryan as their Dcoordinator, and he knows how to shut down the broncos.
Atlanta is a pure unknown. Hell, they could win the South next year…just look at the last 2 winners’ previous seasons.
    Jax? OUCH!
    NE? 2XOUCH!
SD? Still the team to beat.
KC? Tough D, and it’ll be interesting to see who becomes their Ocoordinator.
Oak? Hey, they may suck, but they chewed up the Broncos.

I’d HARDLY say the schedule is easy. But then again, I’m just a realist.
