What a great day for football.  Broncos and Cheerios in the morning, some Pats-Colts to to top me off… yummy (although I must admit, I’m a frosted mini-wheats kinda guy myself).

Daylight Savings Time is throwing me off a bit.  In Arizona we don’t do anything, the world just moves forwards or backwards one hour around us.  It’s a fitting environment for my egotistical center-of-the-universe mentality.

I was all set for game time at 10 AM only to find… CBS News?  WTF?  Then I was reading Deadspin and they mentioned “setting the clock forward” and realized that I had gained an hour in my sleep.  I hate that.  Especially since I actually set my alarm clock on a Sunday morning to post the inactive list.  That’s right, I’m dedicated, and that’s worthy of repeating.  I work Saturday mornings, so this is my one and only day to sleep in.  But I set my alarm clock for you, the readers, because I love you.  You’re welcome.

Drop a note here, talk amongst your friends, and GO BRONCOS!

Very nice return by Hall, and we’re off!

  • http://broncotalk.net Kyle

Holy cow… there was a Simeon Rice sighting people…

This Lions defensive line is opening huge holes for their runners. We need to make adjustments if we’re going to stop them at all today.

Hamza Abdullah was all over the field that drive, but he was always “almost” there to make the play. It looks to me like he got the start instead of Foxworth, but don’t quote me on that.

Lions up 3-0 in first quarter.

I can sympathise with the time problems. The UK changed last week so I was sitting down waiting for the start an hour early.

Lucky to get out of that with 3 points.
At least we grabbed that onside kick!!!!

  • http://broncotalk.net Kyle

Our special teams didn’t screw that one up. Surprise onside, but we recover. Time to put together a little offense.

  • http://broncotalk.net Kyle

    BTW, nice job Jordan Beck.

  • http://broncotalk.net Kyle

Elam missed it off the upright.

Why are we making this Detroit Lions defense look like the Bears Ravens out there?

  • http://birty.blogspot.com MB

All these defensive substitutions are killing us – again. aren’t they being too smart and making it harder than it should be?

  • http://broncotalk.net Kyle

    No no not Cutler

  • http://broncotalk.net Kyle

LONGEST COMMERCIAL BREAK OF ALL TIME

  • http://broncotalk.net Kyle

3rd and 16…Patrick Ramsey with his first career Broncos pass, and it’s complete for a first down. Let’s keep it rolling Broncos.

  • http://birty.blogspot.com MB

and he’s on the cart. that’s not good.

but 2/3 of ramseys throws have been good.

  • http://broncotalk.net Kyle

Graham dropped a third down catch. Cmon, you want the balls, CATCH the damn balls.

  • Dan

Any word on what Cutler’s injury was? I’m not getting the game on tv. Thanks.

  • http://broncotalk.net Kyle

Anyone else see that embarrassment coming back to Mike Shanahan’s face?

  • http://broncotalk.net Kyle

Ramsey is targeting Marshall. He’s doing a damn good job so far, but he needs to look elsewhere, too.

  • http://broncotalk.net Kyle

    @Dan:

Unspecified lower left leg injury. No word yet, but it looked somewhat gruesome the way he got flipped over and two Lions defenders twisted his leg/ankle around.

I have a post on the matter up on the main page.

  • http://birty.blogspot.com MB

oh my sweet lord. this is embarassing.

  • ChampSB3233

This isn’t as bad as the Chargers game, but it’s close.
And the Broncos are on the verge of getting shut out for the first time in … gulp … 250 games. AGAINST DETROIT!!

  • http://birty.blogspot.com MB

    woo hoo! Points!

  • ChampSB3233

Incredibly … the Broncos will stay one game out of first place and go to Kansas City next week to play the Chiefs, who are in a tie for first. The AFC West winner is going to be 8-8.

  • BroncoChris

What has happened to the AFC West this year. At least when the other teams are good we have a little more of an excuse for a bad record, but we have a bad record in a division that may be worse than the non-patriot AFC east.

  • http://broncotalk.net Kyle

The entire AFC is just weird this year. The Bills and Browns are frontrunners to compete with Jaguars, Titans, and Ravens for the AFC Wild Card.
