Looks like Kyle is finally going to get to see his boy attempt to do some returns. According to the Denver Post, Clark is out as a returner, and Young and Hall are in.

Now, Hall I don’t really know enough about to comment on. It’s nice to see him get a shot; of course, if he blows it, there’s not too much else to look at.

But Young I’m worried about. His biggest problem in college, from what I’ve read, was ball control. And, well, ball control is certainly one of the factors that’s absolutely killing us in these games.

And the Steelers? They’re a physical team that hits you hard and is going to go after the football. Is Young capable? I hope so. We’re going to have to see.

I heard the “Be careful what you wish for” BS from several places (in regards to Hixon being out and Clark fumbling) – don’t forget Hixon fumbled a second half kickoff that resulted in a quick six for Jacksonville in Week 3.

I’m glad O’Brien is recognizing that our return game needs adjustment. I’m sure Jonathan is just as thrilled his guy Andre will be given his shot.

Oops! And here I wrote that it was your boy, not Jonathan’s!

Yeah, I actually watched Hall practicing fielding kick-offs from Todd prior to SD game. I tried video capturing some of his catches on my still camera, but I haven’t gotten a chance to see if they came out yet. He’s my boy (I’ve been pulling for him since the off-season), but he still looked a bit rough at that point. He dropped a couple and it looked like he was getting coached quite a bit in between each attempt.

Still, I would love to see him get a shot. I think he has some great upside and would really like to see him get some RB carries. However, he needs to prove he’s a PLAYER by impressing some people on special teams.
